The hotel is very accessible and comfortable. The rustic vibe is amazing. And it’s such a great place to stay after a long hike!

"Glendalough High"

10.0

The hotel exceeded my expectations. I was in a good mood the whole time. You could not ask for a better location right next to the Glendalough sites, plus reasonable rates. Although my room was small, it was cozy and had everything I needed, plus a lovely view from the sizable windows even though it raced north toward the road. My only complaint about the hotel is that the front desk is not staffed 24/7 (I think it closes at 8 or 9 PM), which might create some anxiety for those returning late. I also read really bad reviews about the hotel restaurant, so I ate dinner elsewhere. However, the included breakfast was fine. I didn't see a fan or way to open the windows in the room, so I imagine it might get a little hot during warmer weather.

It was a phenomenal location - looked out on a stream and saw deer in the field across the way. It was a beautiful area

"Tranquil peaceful stay"

8.0

Lovely serene stay away from the busy towns. Comfortable beds, tea and coffee supplied. Very spacious room and bathroom. Lots of walking tracks nearby. Peaceful views to the hills. Flooring not even. Would recommend just for the tranquility.

This is an historic hotel, secluded in the the Wicklow Mountains. It is beautiful and located steps away from the ancient Monastic City, 2 lakes, and gorgeous walking trails. Very quiet and calm with free parking. The restaurant was good, breakfast could have been better with more options, and better prepared food (boiled bacon instead of fried bacon), no fresh fruit. We got the "cheap" room facing the street, good size with seating area, good bathroom, low water pressure.

Poor selection bacon wasn’t cooked properly asked for 2 poached eggs got one wasn’t properly cooked this was the first morning so our second morning we checked out without breakfast no one at reception and headed up the road to the Heather Restaurant for a delicious breakfast.

"Could be so much better "

6.0

This hotel could be great but they know they have a monopoly in Glendalough and therefore make no effort at all and still charge high prices. The breakfast is particularly insulting. If you have a car I highly suggest looking at some of the very good guest houses in the area

Prime location in a beautiful area. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but generally well-kept and maintained. The service crew are very nice.
