Leland House Suites of Durango

Lovely suite with kitchenette and awesome cafe next door for breakfast and coffee. Just loved our experience there.

Guests should be notified if their room is located upstairs and that there’s no elevator. Second sheets be clean and not full of hair. Third one should find a bug crawling on their pillow. Will not book here again.

I spent 1 week in Durango, CO, and had the chance to stay in 3 different hotels in the same location. Among all of them, Leland House was, by far, the best experience. The customer service was amazing, very responsive and made everything possible for us to have the best experience during our stay. They have free bike rentals for their guests, the room is modern and cozy, there’s AC, fan, and fridge in the bedroom. Location is great, walking distance to the best restaurants in town and they provide free self parking. If we ever return to Durango, we will definitely stay at Leland’s again!

Communication and location of property was great, walkable. Loved Lolas diner next to it, and fridge in the room. And next to Steam works brewery. Check in and check out suoer easy. Parking lot easy to find. As someone with bad back the bed was not comfortable; made sleep difficult. This is a common complaint for most hotels I stay at. Floors were super squeaky; if me or my husband got up at night to bathroom would wake each other up. AC worked... but rooms were still hot and stuffy. Could hear my neighbors tv even though it wasnt very loud. For the price I would maybe consider staying else where. I was super impressed with the Rochester across the street or Strater. Love the solar panel theme; and the staff were super nice; for comfort this perhaps wasnt a win for me. I hate to say that I wanted to love this place so much.

Easy to find. Parking onsite. Great, walkable location in Durango near shops and restaurants. We enjoyed Lola's next door with our dog for drinks and dinner. Excellent and prompt communication before and during our stay. Owner is very nice and helpful. We reserved a dog friendly king studio. The room was small but more than adequate. Many dog friendly amenities like bowls, a dog bed, and dog sheet were in the room. I hate to mention any complaints but the room was a tad warm. There wasn't air conditioning, only heat. But the room cooled down in the evening by use of the ceiling fan and opening a window. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful property with a welcoming and cheerful charm.

This is one of the older buildings in Durango that was renovated into a small hotel and has kept much of its original bones including the wood floors and brick walls. It is perfect, comfortable, and beautiful. It is in the downtown area so walking distance to the train and restaurants. In fact the owners of the hotel have a small restaurant next door that has great food. If you decide to take some time in Durango, I recommend the Leland House highly and would return without hesitation.
