Lovely staff, excellent food and dogs allowed - had a great stay! My wee dachshund loved it!

So dog friendly and welcoming. Great bar, breakfast and comfy bed.

The room was comfortable but needed a little maintenance (bathroom mirror hanging loosely, toilet roll holder loose). The small hallway and stairs to the rooms are in urgent need of refurbishment as they do not give a good impression (filthy carpets, dirty walls)

Lovely place, in a quiet rural setting. Great food and service.

Great location for a stop over if you're heading North or South on a road trip.

Stay was good, the room was dry pleasant however suffered from noise from the kitchen below which was unfortunate as everything else was 1st class!

The pub was lovely and served great food and drink options. The rooms were clean and comfortable, albeit fairly basic and in need of modernisation, but certainly no complaints given the room rate. The pub offers great value for money and is dog friendly. We used it as a stop of travelling south from Scotland and we will likely return.

Excellent

We stayed at this gem of a pub on the way to Scotland. The staff are all super friendly and helpful too. The pub has excellent quality food and wines too. My husband had the steak pie, I had the fish and Chips both were outstanding. We liked it so much we booked for the following week on our way back. They are really dog friendly too! There is a beautiful dog walk around the village. Also there is a field right off the car park which is fabulous to let your dog run loose. The breakfast was superb and nothing was too much trouble. Was excellent for a one night stop over breaking a 9hour drive, providing everything required clean with good food in the restaurant and an excellent breakfast.
