Subtropica Premium Suites - Mindo

the suites are in a beautiful nature reserve at the outskirts of mindo. it’s very quiet and you feel like you are in the middle of the forest (which in a sense you are). lots of birds and other wildlife. the suites are new, clean, and feature a private heated pool. there are only three suites so the operation is small. the attention given to guests is extraordinary, and we felt very well taken care of. Antonio made sure we got what we needed for breakfast (delivered every morning to the suite) and drove us to and from town when we needed it (it’s an 8 minute walk but great to have a ride late at night). JuanPablo helps with tours of all kinds. he owns the property next door and is super nice and organized great tours for us. we really felt very special and it was an extraordinary stay. very highly recommended.

Great place for a family stay. Our family enjoyed the pool and saw beautiful birds (including rufous Motmots and a toucan) in the gardens. We appreciated the quiet and security of the private location. The breakfast brought to our suite was delicious and more even than our teens could eat. We appreciated having the mini-fridge and microwave. Staff were attentive and accommodating. Would stay here again for sure.

In bedrooms, light is above the ceiling fan rather than below, so you get a strobe effect if the fan is on at night.

A precious, accommodating property with pool access straight from our room. Suite had everything we needed. A little piece of relaxation and tranquility in Mindo. Would recommend to anyone and everyone, especially families. We hope to come back one day.

The place was very clean, the kids loved the pool and everything about this place. The staff people are super friendly and breakfast was an absolute blast. I highly recommend Subtropica if you have kids, they will enjoy.

In the middle of nature!

Great swimming pool, and breakfast. The cabins are new and they have a kitchenette. The cabin that we stayed is part of a group of 3 cabins and have a pool that they all share. We had the place to ourselves . It has two bedrooms which is what we needed. We like walking and we found thw cabins at a walking distance to town. I recommend this hotel. They just need a clear sign at the front of the gate.

I really loved how kind and respectful the staff was. They texted me the day of the check in to make sure I knew how to get there. I'll come back soon
