La Perla Beach Resort, Zanzibar - Your Beachfront Private Haven

Great place. We enjoyed our selves and the food was great.

Amazing Beach Front Resort , with clean sandy beach to have a walk and swim, crystal warm blue water. Spend a great time relaxing and chilling. food was amazing and the chef made special order for me , serene garden and landscaping.

Small and intimate. Private pool. Beachfront access. Friendly welcome and assistance.

Frequent power cuts. No access to water or electricity. A/C not powerful enough for rooms. Food was not good.

We had a wonderful time at La Perla. It is a small resort with lovely staff. The rooms are spacious and beds could fit a whole family. Beautiful beach is only some 50 meters from the room. Special thanks to Amir for making us feel so welcome. We will miss him.

The beautiful palm trees and proximity to the beach. The seafood we had for dinner was good.

Restaurant is quite small and the utensils were not properly cleaned. The breakfast selection is also very limited.

The breakfast was satisfactory; However, there is room for improvement in terms of variety and freshness of option.infact the variety and quality short of expectation.On positive note the location was excellent, offering convenient access to nearby attraction and amenities.

what I didn't like is their service, they must enhance customer service by training staff and to be attentive,responsive and proactive in addressing guest needs.The lack of attention to detail in cleaning detracted from the overall comfort and enjoyment of the stay.There was a significant issues with mosquitoes during my stay, and unfortunately, the measures taken to address it were insufficient.Despite requesting mosquitos spraying.it was only done once by the cleaner and not repeated thereafter.The mosquitoes problems persist throughout my stay, making it uncomfortable and challenge to rest peacefully.

The location and rooms are absolutely stunning. The beach is footsteps away and seaweed is sweeped daily. The garden is absolutely stunning. The pool is fantastic. The food is delicious. By far, the highlight of this resort is the La Perla Team. Margaret, Amir, Suzanna, Suleman and Chef Abdullah made our stay absolutely incredible. They really made us feel like family and made this trip so unforgettable - we were literally crying when we left!!!! Our room stewards - Nasra, Mksiri and Jennifer were fantastic and super thorough. Our rooms were cleaned twice daily. Margaret, as manager, was so accommodating, welcoming and amazingly efficient. We found her to be an excellent manager and were so happy with the service she provided to us. Ameer, in charge of reservations, was super efficient and friendly. The reservation process went very smoothly. Both Margaret and Ameer organised a variety of entertainment and activities for us such as: Trips to Stone Town, Masai Tribe Performances, Dance Performances and bonfires at night. Suzanne and Suleman - the two best waiters we have ever met!! Every morning, Suzanne made a new freshly squeezed juice for us, and this is literally the best juices you will ever have in your life. Suleman is the kindest and most patient waiter I have ever met. Both Suzanne and Suleman, every single day, were so sweet to us, so friendly, always greeting us and talking to us. We miss them both so much!! Chef Abdullah - Chef is so talented at cooking and so friendly. His fish and his curries are out of this world. His soups are amazing. All the food was super fresh and seasoned to perfection. We had everything from king prawns, to tuna, to chicken, to hamburgers and fries. Thank you also to hotel director Hashir, Security Guard Haji and Gardener dura. Overall, our experience at La Perla was simply incredible. The resort is gorgeous but it is the staff that make this experience what it is. We cant wait to come back - Pechanats Family

We had an uncomfortable experience with Anna, a member of staff who is located in poland, trying to sell us packages for experiences we knew were overpriced over the phone...

La Perla Resort was everything I hoped it would be! I felt at home from the minute I arrived. I was solo traveling 33 year old woman and from the minute I got picked up from the airport, I felt that I was safe. The resort is nestled in a village which was really cool to see. The pictures do not do the resort justice. It is insanely gorgeous! Since there are limited rooms there isn’t a lot of people. I was there for Christmas and the resort went above and beyond to make Christmas so special. The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Chef did incredible soups, the breakfast was super good as well. The staff treats you like family. I preferred for them to interact with me a lot but I saw other guests that wanted more privacy and they were very respectful of that. The beach is amazing and is literally right there for a swim. The pool is nice and cool. I stayed in an upstairs room and the room was really nice. The AC was not very strong but was enough to keep me cool at night, which I told the manager and he is planning to upgrade the AC unit. Like many just about any place in Africa, I had a few bugs in my room and Amir one of the staff members, came in to get capture them for me! I loved La Perla and it was one of the best experiences Ive ever had traveling. This is such a great place! There is a restaurant next door and a few in walking distance. Its a solid location. Be prepared that hiring a taxi to Stone Town and other places is expensive (but worth it). The hotel will arrange just about anything for you :)
