Good location, good facilities, excellent staff. Ishmael is very welcoming and looked after us well. Farm is beautiful too

This is one of the few properties that are owned by locals in the city, and they are trying to self sustain through growing their own food and raising animals. Everyone was super helpful, especially Ismael, who was so nice to offer a tour around the place and tell me about all the different trees, plants and animals in the farm (thank you ismael you’re the best) The place was super clean, the room amenities were of good quality and the food was the yummiest I had in tanzania (the vegetable pizza was superior)

The ground staff were really kind, friendly, and helpful, which I truly appreciated. However, I experienced a few incidents that made my stay feel a bit uncomfortable and stressful. Before arrival, I arranged an airport pickup with the Benson the head of reservation at the hotel. They initially quoted me a price, and when I mentioned I found another company, they agreed to match it. The driver who picked me up arrived in a very poor-condition car, and during the one-hour drive no water or basic hospitality was offered. I asked if he could help me get a SIM card, but he said all the shops were closed. I then asked if I could at least use his hotspot briefly to inform my family I arrived safely, but he said he had no data. Later I found out that he does he just didn’t want to share which felt a bit sad. When we arrived at the hotel, the driver asked me to pay cash. I explained I needed change, but he did not have any and suggested taking my large bill into town to exchange it. Since he did not seem like an official hotel driver, I did not feel comfortable giving cash to someone I didn’t know. He also suggested taking me back into town immediately, but after a long flight and one-hour drive, all I wanted was water and breakfast. I asked if I could transfer the money or pay via PayPal to make things easier, but he refused. The situation became unnecessarily stressful until he eventually returned with change. The room itself was decent, but housekeeping could be improved. I stayed for two nights, and the room was not cleaned during my stay, nor were the towels changed. The checkout experience was also disappointing. I was asked to pay again for my accommodation even though it had already been prepaid. I had to wait around 20 minutes while they verified it with Benson, who was also the person that arranged the unofficial transfer driver.
