Very pretty site and a fantastic big building. Has a grand great room with piano and pool table art and games.

Didnt like the pool. It was a "natural" pool, which is more like a pond, complete with filthy scum on bottom and sides.

An incredibly charming hotel, secluded within the hills, which allows you to have privacy with an incredible view! Fully surrounded by nature with a tranquil movie-like atmosphere that makes you feel incredibly relaxed. The rooms are incredibly beautiful. Classic Italian villa( that was a church in the 17th century) with a modern eclectic design! A gorgeous natural pool from the natural spring and natural filter system( plants ). Delicious food and simply a hidden gem 20 min away from the city centre of Lucca! Absolutely magical with a very friendly and helpful staff!

The water in the shower doesn’t always have enough pressure, or possibly water and can not work simultaneously in many rooms I guess , when people from different rooms use showers. You have to pre-boom your lunch and dinner up to a certain time of the day

A beautiful villa, slightly hidden, which adds to its boutique magic, but uniquely placed to give a view of the surrounding hills and villages on the edge of Lucca. It's hard to describe how a true gemstone of a find this. It's perfect in every way from the personal meet and greet upon arrival, to the way you are made to feel special, exclusive, and an important guest by the hosts and staff. The whole ambience is one of calmness, of relaxation, of contemplation. It has an energy and ambience that combines and connects organic nature, wildlife, flora & fauna, respecting a healthy balance of mutual coexistence set in its own private grounds with olive groves and vineyards, herb and vegetable gardens. The chef prepares excellent food that feels, looks and tastes of fine dining, yet nothing is pretentious, just genuine, local, authentic, warm friendship and hospitality done on a human level, amongst family and friends. Stop the clock for a while, press pause, unwind, and enjoy a small piece of what will feel like a treasure trove in the woods you will want to keep a secret for yourself.

Lorenzo and Laurence’s hotel is very special and unique. It feels very intimate and all the staff were so helpful and friendly. The property is gorgeous, the decor is very tasteful and they have thought of everything. The spring-fed pool is incredible, I would return just for that! Dinner was a set menu, with most produce from the garden - it was absolutely delicious and sitting on the patio at the front of the house with an incredible Tuscan view was hard to beat. Breakfast was delightful, local cheeses and meats, fruit, yoghurt, bread and homemade jams. Very tasty eggs with chard from the garden - and a lovely chef who we chatted to at the (beautiful) kitchen door. Our room was large with a comfy bed and incredible view at the front of the house. The bathroom was massive with a big bath and powerful shower, and lovely olive oil products. They provided a large cot for our 2 year old son - who they treated like a king! I would recommend this hotel to anybody wanting somewhere very special to stay with personal touches, great food and drink, perfect views and lovely people.
