Mambo Ocean Resort

The staff is great and caring for all your needs during the stay. The garden is great, and the place is really quiet. The beach front restaurant is perfect and there is a small pool on the beach and a larger one in the back, for swimming. Would definitely recommend if you want the quiet side of Zanzibar, and its not really remote : you can walk in the village for restaurant / groceries and find some activities like kitesurf on the beach !

Our stay at Mambo Ocean Resort was absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming with us, and from the moment we arrived we felt very well taken care of. We ate several times at the hotel restaurant and absolutely loved the food (everything was delicious and the prices were very reasonable). The breakfasts were spectacular, especially the traditional local breakfasts, which gave us the opportunity to try authentic regional food. The beach is amazing, very beautiful and perfect for long relaxing walks. The swimming pool area is also very pleasant, with many comfortable places to sit and relax. The hotel also offers activities and games such as ping pong, darts, and volleyball, and we tried all of them and had so much fun. Our room was beautifully decorated, very clean, and cozy. The mattress was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, and the hot water worked perfectly. Overall, the quality standard of the hotel is excellent.

Honestly, we have nothing negative to say about our stay. We would definitely come back again. Thank you so much to the whole team for making our experience so special!

Lieu magnifique et le personnel au petit soin tout en étant discret. Les p’tit déjeuner très copieux et variés. Je recommande vivement cette hôtel.

The staff is really friendly, and it feels even comfortable at the swimming pool that they leave you. Swimming pool kept very clean. Because of low season it was quiet. Room was big and clean, breakfast amazing, resort right at the beach

Restaurant too pricy, especially for the quality you get. Not enough vegetables and too little fish choices. Cats are begging. Music at the restaurants too loud (for me) dinertime starts late (19:30) there are no other options near by, all is closed due to low season. Price is too high for the room(they have to adjust to low season. According to the rules in the room you can’t bring food or drinks(scrap that, you can’t tell people that) Shower was cold Tv screen nice, but only youtube available and internet is unstable

I really have nothing to complain about

Prachtig resort aan het strand. Eten was ook erg goed en het personeel super aardig. Met name Hassan, die ons enthousiast uitlegde wat voor fruit er in de sap zat.

De stoelen bij het kuch/ avond gedeelte kunnen kussentjes gebruiken. Wat haakjes in de badkamer zou handig zijn. Aan de deur, maar ook om je handen handdoekje op te hangen.
