One of the best hotels I've ever been to! This is not a run of the mill hotel, this is a hotel that was built from ancient buildings which parts can still be seen in the current more modern building. The owners do everything right. The hotel is small so everyone. is known. The restaurant is definitely gourmet in a stunning setting, but they are willing to help those with dietary restrictions. The food served is just beautiful! Same thing for the included breakfast. The breakfast location near the bar is cosy and a tray is brought to a stand next to your table with so much food that as per the night before, looks inviting. The rooms are large and have all the facilities you want including a giant tub and a walk in shower. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I felt very pampered here.

Outstanding in-town choice in Orvieto, just a short walk from Duomo. Probably a better choice for drivers than those arriving via train, as the hotel is roughly a 15 minute walk from the funicular and St. Patrick’s well, but for those arriving by car, this is the perfect choice. The hotel has a private parking lot in the Duomo piazza that can be reserved in advance, and the porter will meet you at your car to help with luggage. Make sure to follow exactly the driving instructions to the parking provided by the hotel, as following google instructions will take you through the RTZ and fines. While not close to the well, the hotel is extremely close to Orvieto Underground, the duomo, and many of the town’s best restaurants. Located in a renovated historic palazzo, the hotel is a great combination of classic architecture and sophisticated modern touches in a small, upscale hotel. There is a beautiful lounge on the second floor, and a small garden area off the lobby where breakfast is served, as well as drinks in the afternoon. Service was excellent and included breakfast was very good. I was a little hesitant initially because there are very few reviews for this hotel, but we woolly absolutely stay here again next time we visit Orvieto.

Just finished staying at the fabulous Petrvs for 2 nights prior to the start of a bike riding trip in Tuscany. I cannot think of a better way to start the tour! Mattia and all of the hotel staff were so helpful, attentive and genuinely nice throughout our stay. We were in room 207 and it was large, very comfortable bed, and awesome walk in shower with a great rain head and water pressure. The breakfast included was delicious with local, fresh ingredients with delicious fresh squeezed OT and strong Italian coffee. Their location is perfect, mid way between the Duomo and the Clock Tower on Via del Duomo. I looked at several other hotels for our first time to Orvieto and so glad went with this property. The 5 star reviews, as is this one, were very accurate. Although a little higher in price compared to some other hotels, in this case--you get what you pay for and more!. You will not be disappointed when you stay at Palazzo Petrvs.
