Palazzo Petrvs

Beautifully designed hotel in great location off the main cathedral square in Orvieto. The staff were exceptional- attentive, extremely knowledgeable and helpful and graciously pleasant.

The high end restaurant was very expensive. Breakfasts could have varied more.

Not one thing!

I came to Orvieto for some private R&R in the low season and decided to spoil myself with this stay, and couldn't be more thrilled that I did it at Palazzo Petrvs. The hotel itself is really a designers dream. Every room is unique to itself and thoughtfully appointed and restored, with a lovely shared common area on the first guest room. The breakfast is both generous and delicious, and the staff is incredibly kind, attentive and helpful. The attached restaurant also offers a tasting dinner that is well worth the reservation. Having gone for R&R, I spent as much or more time on the hotel grounds (room, patio, common area, cafe/bar) as I did exploring Orvieto, and enjoyed every moment of it. Already can't wait to go back on my next trip!

Stunning design in a beautiful old building near the Duomo. The owners obviously paid great attention to detail in the remodeling, resulting in rooms that while modern are also warm, soothing and elegant. Everyone treated us warmly, more like we were visiting long time friends who owned a lovely home in the country. The bar and breakfast service were cozy and delicious.

Concierge was absolutely wonderful. So helpful and passionate about the space, really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and taken care of. The room was gorgeous and very clean, the common area was stunning and the complimentary breakfast is wonderful (with excellent service). The location in town is perfect and we only wished we had booked more nights. Would highly recommend to anyone.
