Nyamunyonyi Lake Resort

Onverwachtse boottocht over het meer naar het resort was een cadeautje. Auto kon veilig geparkeerd worden. Eigenaar Edward komt je persoonlijk halen. Eten vers en heel goed. Vriendelijke personeel. De rust en het uitzicht zijn geweldig.

Geen mogelijk tot opladen op de kamer. Alleen in het restaurant gedeelte.

Il proprietario Edward è incredibile, disponibile gentile e si è davvero dato da fare per rendere il nostro soggiorno perfetto. Vi consiglio di contattarlo prima per sapere che tipologia di attività sono disponibili: Batwa community walk, canoa, gita in barca etc.

Le camere sono un po’ spoglie. Non c’è elettricità nelle camere, i cellulari vanno lasciati nella area comune a caricare

This place is truly a hidden gem! I stayed 3 days 2 nights, wish I can stay longer. What makes this place so special are the staff. From the manager (pick up me at the town and send to the resort by boat), the boatman, local guide, chef, helper and all in the resort. This resort strategic location is perfect who love quiteness and really into the nature. Trust me once you are here you dont feel like to leave. The staff will serve their best to you with smiling all time. You will feel almost like at home. Thank you so much Nyamunyonyi Lake Resort for your great hospitality. I will definitely come again!

A wonderfull wiev over the lake. We did enjoy the atmosohere by the peacefull place. The food was tasty and healthy. We did prefere the local organic food which was made for us in the restaurant. Also the breakfest was splendid every morning. San was the chef who made tasty vegeterian food for us from local organig ingredients. Peace was the best ever as a waitress, as she was smiling and talking with us . The cottage we had was perfekt with the astonishing wy to the blue lake. We did watch the birds, the stars and we made a wonderfull boattrip on the lake. We had also a trip to a village of pygmis. At the last night we did see a flying star! Then we had the change to hope that we could come back here again! There was also time to make some jogapractising by own. We did read books. We did make meditation daily by ourselves. Also we had time to make watercoulourpainting by us selves of the landscapes. I tried to paint the landscapes which did very much remaind me of William Turners paintings Everything was organaised by a fantastic personal! We were kept so well that it felt almost like at home. The owner Edvard was so kind. He did organise everything for us. It was so nice to visite the pygmivillage and dance with them. Edvard took us to the border of Ruanda. He did help to get trough the formalities. Ores was the excellent guide on our boattrips! Ores took care of telling us how to behave at pygmivillage. He did also tell us very many stories about Uganda. Kampu was the expert to make campfire and drive the motorboat. He was always polite and helpful. Charkotte, the manager, was keeping everything in excellent hands. Always smiling and always helping in everything. With the experiencis of travelling more than hundred countries we do highly recommend this lovely gorgeous place Lake resort! We do both feel like new persons after spending four nights there!! A wonderful haven in Lake Bunyonyi! Firstly, The staff is awesome. The manager was kind enough to pick me up from Kabale. The girls that worked there were so sweet and took me on a hike TWICE. The chef’s food was amazing. I really couldn’t have asked for a better stay at Lake Bunyonyi. Thank you to all the staff!

The bedding

Beautiful property on the lake. You come by boat so make sure to arrange time for that. Watching the stars at night was also lovely. The tea was delicious and they had many food options. Quiet and beautiful for a nice rest by the water.

Power is on solar so sometimes it wasn’t charged up enough. But we always had wifi after the morning for sure.

An absolutely beautiful location, very peaceful. The staff were incredible and couldn't do enough for us to make our stay enjoyable. From 'Rasta Man' who drove the boat and got us to be where we needed to be, even in the early hours or late at night without complaint, to the chef who made us lovely meals, again to our schedule, the lovely ladies who served our food and cleaned our rooms, the maintainence guy on hand for any tiny hitch, to the boss man Edward, who kept in touch with us all week to assist us in any way he and his team could. Can't recommend highly enough

Please be aware that the electric in the rooms is supplied through solar power and so you will be able to use lights, charge up devices etc but not use electrical items such as hairdryers and kettles that consume a lot of energy.
