Meilin International Hotel

Worst experience I have ever had. The room is spacious but not clean for real. Some amenities missing in the room….no kettle, no iron, very bad breakfast. Also, the General Manager is very rude as if he is not from hospitality🤮 Never going back.

Staff has great hospitality, location is great. Smoking is unbearable. This is not a hotel for non-smoker, the smell radiates throughout. Standards are definitely not for Africa or U.S., even parts of Europe who have more strict accommodating standards for non-smokers. Much potential, but the smoking is a huge a downfall.

I enjoyed my stay though the TV had an issue

Firstly the staff were very helpful and the room was nice, however the WiFi was intermittent at best I could not even watch TV for 4 of the five nights, they gave us a router that worked from a SIMM but it ran out of credit after one day, the towels in the bathroom were grey, not white. Breakfast was ok nothing special, overall it had not been for the staff I would have left the hotel and went somewhere else. Disappointing experience all round.

I would never recommend this hotel. For the following reasons, I tried to move to another hotel. I wonder what you guys are thinking when recommending staying at a hotel like this. Also, it is suspected that the people who post false reviews are probably hired by the hotel. bad review 1. Power outages more than 20 times a day 2. Breakfast is a mess 3. Wi-Fi is too slow and interferes with work 4. Nothing to do around 5. I couldn't watch TV, so I requested several times and was able to watch it in 5 days. 6. Staff is friendly but everything else is a mess 7. The window is broken and I have to use all my might to open it. Good reviews 1. Staff is friendly and does their best.

Meilin International hotel is a decent place to stay when you are looking for a convenient and comfortable property around town. I thought the ground floor was a little stuffy and the hallways could’ve been a little better aerated. The gym is simply functional but could serve the purpose, especially for somebody looking for a quick workout. Handsdown, the staff at the property are very polite and friendly. I could’ve given it a five star, but for the poorly aerated hallways and the rug on the ground floor.

First, I booked for three weeks and then decided that I would stay another two since I was getting work done and the Meilin was a great place for me to work. The staff were excellent and super friendly. It was like coming to my home away from home every time I went out and came back. Everyone greeted me like I was family. Breakfast is served in the room. It was so easy to manage and I did not even have to leave the room. The room itself, on the sixth floor, had a nice view of the golf course area. It was a nice suite - king bedroom, large bath and shower room, great living room and desk space for getting work done, the the kitchen was highly functional. Internet worked well for my business activities. The hotel is close - within walking distance - to the center of town. Every day I walked to the Garden City Mall which was a perfect distance for me to get some exercise. To and back were about 6500 steps. This was a great hotel experience from someone who has already spent 3/4 of 2023 in hotels. The room rate was very good value for money.
