Andy's Place

Andy is very good person, rooms were nice, especially room on the top floor was very beautiful. TV with Netflix and internet is also huge advantage for me.

Its not as clean as it could be, there were some hairs in my bed, but bed sheets were clean and smells good so it was ok.

All of the staff we interacted with were very friendly and happy to help. The room that we had booked had lots of windows, which let in lots of natural light. Free tea and coffee in a lovely, spacious room. Location is very good for exploring - plenty of bars and food options within walking distance.

We had a couple of problems with our toilet when we arrived but it had sorted itself out by the morning. The water pressure in the shower was a bit temperamental too but again, this sorted itself out.

Andy and his staff are terrific, they have great ideas, understand the area and go the distance to help you out

After reading so many wonderful refferences here my stay was really disapointing. I somwhow have a feeling I was in a different hotel than other people. Good things: Comfortable bed and beutifully designed spatious room. The pool is crisp clean but VERY cold. In 5 days of my stay I saw only a German couple use it. The night receptionist boy was so kind and helfull. He recommended a very good restaurant. After 3 days Andy said that he would send girls to do my room - ( shortly getting room service was a gift). Even the garbage is not taken out daily.

This list will unfortunately be long. Very slow internet, often unusable. Air condition was really weak. Being stingy on little waterbottle just made no sense - I checked in late and had to go to a shop to buy a mineral water to wash my teeth! I just felt unwelcome. The garbage is taken away only uppon request - given that one is required to throw toilet paper into a bin next to the toilet - I found it unhygenic. Towels and bedding worn out - one towel was bleached. First and second day both I and the receptionist boy, were unable to open the terrace door. Andy was informed, and just answered that the door was fine. After second attempt to open it with the receptionist, Andy came to teach me how to open the door - one has to shake it back and fort while turning the lock into oposit direction than normally! It is 2 dolar lock! Change it! When the balcony dore was finally opened - the terace was a disapointment - 1sm and with two dead flower pots. There was a terrible, terrible stinch in the bathroom. Most likely sewage. It got worse by day. In the end I told the receptionist and she routinly said they would put parfume in my bathroom - shortly they were aware of the problem and did not bother to fix it. The parfume lasted one day. The stinch was back the next day. The room had a safe as advertised, but the safe was locked. I was unable to use it. I informed Andy trough booking.com 3 times, - but he just ignored to answer thoigh answering other questions. Finally when he came to show me how to open the terace door, he said - 'I will check tomorrow if I can take a safe from another room and change yours'...no need to say it never happened and Andy never brought up the topic again - not even apologised. This made me very very unwelcome. I am not sure what kind of guests Andy has sometimes, but the list of rules, some of which bizar - like no cooking in the room - and the price list for damaged items made me really really unwelcome.

Great location, super friendly staff, room was comfortable and clean and as described. Staff helped us to book tours and to recommend things to do etc. we had a great stay.
