M9 Kirirom Hotel

Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig. Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer im 14. Stockwerk bekommen. Es gab ein Elternschlafzimmer, wo man die Tür schließen konnte und ein weiteres Schlafzimmer was durch einen Vorhang getrennt war. Der grosse Balkon (von beiden Zimmern aus betretbar) bot eine fantastische Aussicht direkt auf den Fluss. Trotzdessen Es an einer grossen Strasse liegt war es doch recht ruhig. Der Checkin im Supermarkt ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber auch gut, denn dann kann man gleich Dinge shoppen, die man eventuell noch braucht.

Das Zimmer an sich war schon ein wenig älter und man sah dass es nicht mehr neu war.

The view of the river from our balcony was beautiful. Whilst the room & bathroom were on the small side, everything was extremely well appointed & comfortable. The breakfast was varied & substantial. All staff were helpful & pleasant. Met our needs.

Location is great, the balcony view over the Mekong is as advertised. The hotel has a convenience store and a restaurant. Room service provided clean good quality sheets and responded to requests. The «hotel» are rooms together with a condo units, which is a little odd

Some of the neighbor rooms kept tap dogs, which was rather annoying at time. The wifi was spotty. Generally fast enough to stream, but at times it kept dropping connection to the point that I had to use the hotspot for my cell phone.

Very good location and river view. Airco worked well. Mini mart next to reception.

First evening the toilet flushed badly, I informed the reception, they would fix it. At night power failure in my whole room for 1 hour. Large cricket on the curtains, about 15 fruitflies (?) in the bathroom. Wifi very bad. Next morning when using the toilet it got clogged / stuck..I got another room, opposite an open shared kitchen (part of the building is residential apartments) which smelled bad and was noisy until late. Wifi again bad. I checked out after 2 nights instead of my planned 6. Breakfast staff and housekeeping are professional, but the reception / supermarket staff are sour looking, uninfomative, passive and inadequate. I felt unwelcome. The girl with the glasses was the only one with a smile and understanding. I worked for several hotel receptions in the past, also the 5 star Marriott hotel chain. Most of the receptionists here got the job because they speak some english, not because of guest relationship skills.

It was close to the night market and on the riverfront sort of. Breakfast was not bad , coffee was good.

AC didn't work. Hot water needs to be turned on after every time you leave room. There is no phone to call the front desk. Elevators have a mind of their own. Bugs in the bathroom.
