"Great place to stay"

8.0

Plus points - It was easy to find the Verona Inn if you have sat-nav. I would reserve parking if booking, as street parking is very busy. We opted for a top floor apartment as we didn't want noise from above - it was very a very spacious apartment (No 11), with a small balcony overlooking other properties but it was quiet. Ibi on reception was helpful and her English was very good. Outside on the wall to the Inn are directions that tell you how far it is to Verona, what buses to catch, how far it is to the local bar, restaurant and places for breakfast, and other info - this is a brilliant idea! If you want to walk into Verona city centre it will take you at least 30 minutes at a good pace. There are free washing facilities for clothes in a communal room on the first floor. Overall it was a very positive stay at the Verona Inn, we would stay here again. Minus points - The shower doors leaked and it was quite a small cubicle. The tap on the sink in the bathroom leaked when turned to the cold water off position. The beds were very hard.

"Nice hotel "

8.0

The staff was very helpful and the apartment was nice and agreed with the photos. There is a store nearby the hotel, to the city it takes some time to walk but you can also take the bus. We recommend the hotel to others, it was a very pleasant stay.

"An excellent place to stay"

10.0

Located around 20 minutes walk from the railway station, Verona Inn offered our 3 ppl group an excellent place to stay for a couple nights. The appartment was very very spacious, and was nicely clean and tidy when we arrived. The kitchen was surprisingly well-equipped. The staff were friendly and very helpful: on our arrival day, we called the staff around noon and were provided with a code to enter and drop our luggage before the actual checking in, which was really nice considering we didn't have to explore the city with our heavy bags!

"Definitely Recommend!"

10.0

Stayed here for 1 night driving across Europe. The lady who greeted us was very nice and informative, checking in was quite long-winded but she was very thorough and spoke good English. The apartment was HUGE, extremely good value for money. Bed was comfy and there was a full-sized kitchen which we didn't use as we ate out. About 30 minute walk to Verona centre. Free private parking was a bonus and air con in two rooms! No hot water so couldn't shower. Reception had closed and we were given a number for emergencies but we didn't bother as it wasn't really an emergency. Everything else was brilliant though.

"Great clean apartment, 5 minutes by car from the centre. Secure car parking."

10.0

We are a family of 5, with a small dog. We have stayed for one night at Verona Inn for 2 consecutive years now, on our drive north back to the UK, after camping in Italy. The apartment is very clean, comfortable and air-conditioned. It has a side alley where cars can be parked, inside a locked gate. We used the washing machine, the coffee machine and the computer in the communal kitchen-all good. The location is great - very convenient for getting quickly to the centre of Verona, where both years we have spent wonderful evenings. This year the opera was on in the arena. We didn't have tickets, but sat outside, trying to listen. Unfortunately you can't hear any music outside the arena! We highly recommend Verona Inn.

"Close to station and clean rooms"

6.0

This place has very nice apartments, close to the station. It is a bit of a strange part of town, and a little far from the center though. The service is good and they really try to help you. They were not very used to bike holiday issues, but I think they are all better now! We had a very pleasant stay here.

"Wonderful, friendly service!"

10.0

We traveled to Verona and stayed the night to participate in the Romeo and Juliet Half Marathon. I don't recall who exactly checked us in (Martina, Serena or Saadia) but she was very friendly and spoke very good English. We received a phone call on the day we were supposed to check in just as a friendly reminder about the check in times (1500 - 1930). We arrived within the window and our family and Maltese were welcomed. The apartment was a nice size and had everything we needed. The owner was very accomodating when I asked about late check out in order to return to the room and shower after the race. We had a nice welcome letter awaiting us on the table and some chocolate hearts (a nice touch as it was Valentine's Day!). The only downside to the stay was we couldn't get the heat in the bedroom to work and the boiler in the kitchen was extremely loud. Also, it took a while to figure out how to work the garage gate and I finally had to ask one of the other guests to show me :-) Overall, it was the customer service and personal touch that sets this stay apart. You are treated like you matter and not just as a customer!

"Great place with Basil Fawlty type management"

8.0

Good place, nice rooms. Excellent value. 5 mins by bus from the railway station, 10 to the town centre. 24/7 bus service, 8 euros by taxi, walking 30-45 mins to the centre. The place is in a residential area, a few bars, restaurants, supermarkets, etc for the local community. It's really nice. The cleaning staff at Verona Inn are lovely people. But: You only see management when you check in. If you have a problem, you need to contact them by phone and when you do, you're made to feel like an inconvenience. For example, check in times are 3-7:30pm. When I enquired what would happen if my plane was late, this was the reply: "If your flight will be so late and you will come after 8 PM, you have to find an hotel for 1 night, make thecheckin in our VeronaInn the 22nd Aug and we will refund you 1sth night. " So, not flexible or understanding. Internet is temperamental, when we contacted them about it not working, management refused to believe that we had problems with the passwords. She got more upset, more agitated, more emotional and more defensive and finally hung up on us with the parting words `Allora! Allora! You kill me! You kill me!' I texted her politely asking for a new password, she gave me it and also described us as `not human.' That she was doing her best, and why we needed a 3rd password when we already could use 2 on our other gadgets? And that we were killing her over the internet. Looking back on it, it was very funny. I don't know how Verona Inn would react if something serious were to happen.

"Good stay in Verona"

8.0

We stayed one night here, it was great for that purpose. Don't let the neighborhood (former industrial zone) scare you, as you will get into a nice apartment house. Nearby buses take you in 5 minutes to center. Staff is very friendly. Apartment was good, kitchen fully equipped. Minor drawback: Wifi was poor on the top floor, worked really only in some places of the apartment.
