Marea Central Apartments

The property itself was excellent. It is modern, immaculately clean. The kitchen is well equipped with two burners, a fridge and freezer, microwave and washing machine. It was most useful to be able to refresh one’s wardrobe while on the road. The bed was exceedingly comfortable. There is a safe. There is no lift so those with mobility issues take note. I would rate it 10 out of 10 except for the continuous traffic outside. While I am aware that the hotel has no control over that, I had chosen the property because it seemed to be on a narrow street in a neighbourhood. It turned out to be a major throughway in Sliema. Once the air conditioner had been reset I was able to sleep better my last two nights out of four with its noise cancelling out most of the traffic noise. If you are a light sleeper this is not the place for you. My other issue is within the control of the property. Since an access code is needed to enter and I hadn’t heard back from them despite repeated messages through Expedia I was becoming anxious at getting no reply. The suggested phone call was not an option for me since it would cause heavy roaming fees. I couldn’t find an email or connect through WhatsApp. I can understand not wanting to send out the access code too early but a brief reply saying they had heard from me and would provide it on the day of arrival would have allayed my concerns.

The location was good The appointment looked also good and it was modernized

Location was great.

We wish there had been some instructions for the safe, microwave, washer dryer combo and the induction elements. Also, there was no coffee maker, just an electric kettle

The apartment was also comfortable and fully equipped with all the necessary services.

The bathroom could be bigger, at least the shower. It would also be better if there were more than one set of sheets for stays longer than a week.

Everything is there

It is noisy due to the cars passing on the street directly next to the room.
