Old Mill

Breakfast could not have been better. Joachim asked me what I would like and there was a fabulous variety of cold cuts, cheeses, bread, egg, so much amazing fresh fruit and salad veggies. Superb. Coffee was excellent quality. Location was so convenient for sights, the local town, and bus stops.

Everything about my stay was excellent. Joachim and Bettina went out of their way to accommodate my wishes. They could not have been better hosts. So friendly and helpful.

The room was comfortable, with good storage & was very clean. It was also nice to have extra bedding which I much prefer to air conditioning/heating. The hosts were kind and supplied extra tea on a daily basis, very important for British travellers! The house cat was a reminder of home!

Very little guidance about the locale, some personal recommendations would have been good. Also, would have been useful to have had some information prior to arrival such as name of bus stop to get off. Arriving in the dark I assumed The Old Mill was in the centre of the village but ending up with a long walk from there to the property so an indication where to actually get off would have been helpful. Lack of any communal space so difficult to interact with any other guests and felt I was intruding on the hosts personal space when coming and going. Not to be offered any breakfast on an early departure was disappointing, this despite giving plenty of notice of this early start so even something portable would have been nice! I have run a B&B and always offered such a service without being asked.

We could not recommend this place highly enough. The owners are so friendly and welcoming, and can't do enough for you. Even their cat is adorable! We loved our stay here, and didn't want to leave. The attention to detail was outstanding, we particularly enjoyed breakfast, and coffee with our hosts. We also really enjoyed local walks from the accommodation. There really is nothing not to like!

Joachim and Bettina are sweethearts! The breakfast in the morning was excellent. We stayed in Gozo for a week and LOVE everything about the island. Most people go for a day trip. My tip is to not rush through Gozo! There’s plenty of hikes, beautiful beaches, hidden gems, etc. Learn basic Maltese, talk to the locals. You learn so much from them! 10/10 recommended. ☺️ Thank you again!!

Everything! The hosts greeted us and showed us the room and the remainder of the house when we arrived, even helped with my VERY heavy luggage all the way upstairs. They asked our preferences for breakfast and even made different kinds on different mornings at the time we asked, always fresh and made well. The house was clean and in such a lovely location. Nice views and the hot tub was a big plus. The room had everything we needed including a small fridge, coffee machine and such. Bed was very comfortable but my partner wasn't a fan of the pillows haha but we slept more than fine. And the hosts even gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate valentine's and our anniversary. We couldn't ask for a better or more relaxing stay. A big thank you to our hosts, highly recommend !

Just a heads up for anyone overpacking or has any mobility issues, the stairs are narrow as they usually are in these type of homes, so keep that in mind. Resident cat as well, I'm allergic but I still pet them, good to note as well for anyone with severe allergies :)

My whole family felt very homely, very welcome, comfortable in the hotel... until positively spoiled. The owners are incredibly hospitable, will help absolutely with any question and find a solution to any petition from guests. Great recommendations and good books are in the place. The hotel is beautiful, well-maintained, located on a quiet street, from where you can walk to the ir- Ramla beach. The room we were in has an absolutely amazing terrace and view for the sea and greenery. It is an oasis of calm for anyone who is looking for peace, beauty and wants to feel like in a friend's home. Thank you very much for this lovely experience.

A charming old property in a beautiful location, quiet and with wonderful views. Our host Joachim and Bettina made our stay, nothing was too much trouble, perfect hosts. Our room had a private roof terrace with Jacuzzi, just perfect for counting the stars. It was a short walk into local town Marselforn which has some very nice restaurants. Gozo is a lovely island, very relaxed with plenty of history, certainly worth a weeks stay.

Had the best time! Joachim and Bettina are the perfect hosts. Charming building, super comfy room. The breakfast is tailored to you, even vegan! Great hike around the corner to/from Ramla. Can also recommend taking an ebike for a spin! Thanks so much!
