Room was excellent with great views over river. However the outside light on the deck could not be turned off and would have liked to especially in order to have better opportunity to see the northern lights with darker skies. Food in restaurant was excellent but would have preferred it to be hotter in temperature but personal opinion.

Really beautiful Cape Cod like cottage near a black sand beach and walking trail which is a great stop along the ring road. Nice breakfast, friendly staff and at least one hotel cat. Very beautiful sunny day while there.

We stayed here as a group of eight. The breakfast was relatively decent — unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of our stay.

The hotel rooms were very poorly equipped: no tables, no shelves, and no luggage racks, which is quite unusual for a hotel. When we raised these concerns, the staff simply told us there was nothing they could offer to help. Several of us booked water-view rooms in advance but were all given street-facing rooms instead. When we asked about this, we were told that the “water view” was just a website description.

Nice and quiet location. Has heaters throughout the apartment that kept the place nice and warm through the cold weather. Friendly helpful staff at reception. Standard breakfast.
