PIRA HOTEL

Non lontana da Postumia e dalle grotte, uno dei gioielli naturalistici più incredibili della Slovenia, questa struttura abbina il fascino di un'atmosfera rustica e raccolta col comfort di una ristrutturazione davvero ben riuscita, sia nella cura dei dettagli interni, sia nell'inserimento paesaggistico delle architetture esterne e del garden design. Nonostante fossimo gli unici ospiti vista la bassa stagione, lo staff si é preso cura di noi, proponendoci all'orario concordato una colazione eccezionale per varietà e qualità. Letti eccezionalmente comodi, quiete assoluta, per un riposo davvero totale. Grazie davvero per questa esperienza.

Purtroppo abbiamo soggiornato proprio nell'unica serata di un riposo del ristorante interno... Torneremo certamente per provarlo!

Beautiful property. Large rooms, excellent shower, very clean and beds super comfortable. Love the decor. It's great to have a restaurant onsite, and breakfast was delicious. The location is quiet and secluded, but not far from anything you need. Highly recommend staying here.

Wasn't told about the new wellness area upon check-in, and if you're not staying 2 or more nights, you have to pay. No other property we've stayed at past week has charged guests for use of sauna, hot tub, wellness area, etc. You are given at least 2 hours complimentary. When deciding on where to stay, this is going to be a game changer. You should re-think this policy.

Hotel is REALLY well done. Modern and new, really well appointed! Sauna and jacuzzi are worth it as well. We also had dinner in the restaurant and had a fabulous meal. Staff was fantastic...very friendly, helpful and a delight to deal with. Bathrooms are fantastic. They really didn't overlook a single detail!

Rewarding excellence promotes excellence as the standard and the Pira Hotel is a true traveler’s gem in bucolic Hruševje, Slovenia that offers up an excellent experience with a relaxing environment, classy accommodations, and an amazing restaurant. The Pira Hotel provides a memorable boutique travel experience that should be appreciated and rewarded in today’s short-term rental environment. We happened upon the Pira Hotel while looking for a quaint stop near some planned activities in the area: Škocjan Cave, Predjama Castle, and the Lipizzaner Stallion Farm. Room accommodations are in a nicely renovated building onsite that relaxes you with its understated elegance and vintage interior stone walls. We were looking forward to dinner onsite after a long drive and were pleasantly surprised as each course surpassed the previous, delivering unique flavors with fine artistic presentations. Appetizer Beef carpaccio, celery purée, pickled onions with beet juice, and pumpkin seed sourdough bread. Experiencing the perfect bite with a little bit of each ingredient was the first alert this was a special experience; the pickled onions and beet juice made things pop. Salad Spelt salad with sautéed marinated prawns, carrots, celery, bell pepper, and spinach dressing. The marinated prawns were spot on and the sweet crunch of the carrots along with the ball pepper creating the next level of pleasant surprise. Main Lamb chops, rolled cheese dumplings, seasonal vegetables, and roasted almonds. The lamb chops were cooked just right…not too well and not too rare. Dessert Raspberry cheesecake. Thankfully the other courses allowed space for dessert to bring the meal to a happy end with a clean and simple cheesecake topped with fresh raspberries and powdered sugar. Perhaps an espresso would have been a finer finish but I will have to leave that test for a future visit. 😊
