Valletta by Sweetstay never again, after three days looking for another accommodation. No contact person on site, everything is automated. The code for the key box is only given a few hours before arrival. Steep, well-worn stairs to the studio. You can't stand upright anywhere. Shower directly in the room, the toilet in a tiny chamber without a mirror. Hardly any space in front of the stone arch in front of the induction hob, no explanation on how to use it. Black mold on the device above the TV, this only with Netflix, nothing works without an account. Existing toaster defective. Draft through the door to the balcony, large gaps on the floor. You have to crawl into the right half of the bed, you can't stand up due to the stone arches. In front of the entrance door to the studio is a regular parking lot, often so busy that you can hardly get into the studio

Location excellent. Fridge great Microwave good.

Bed side lamp didn't work. TV didn't work. The toaster died on first use. Could not use kettle because the mains adapter provided to work it. Also needed a mains adapter. We bought our own. Only 2.20 euro. Shower head mounting to wall was falling off. Dare not move it! All the appliances would have been fine if they had just bought some 2.20 euro adapters

The location was good, apartment was quite clean.

The property has a huge list of rules and they ask you to report any damages on the day of arrival not to charge you for them. It is really annoying because there are so many disorders that you have to spend a lot of your time on correspondence with the hosts. First of all the apartment is very small, with the shower directly in the room and the toilet is tiny where a massive person wouldn't squizz in. There was a strong smell of mould at the entrance, which is not surprising as the water was leaking from pipes when using the water upstairs (although the problem was fixed by the host the next day). A/C was working properly until the reservoir on the balcony gathering water was not full. It start coming down from the A/C to the table, but we were lucky not to have any laptops there. The host suggested emptying the reservoir but it was 20 litres of capacity, so impossible to lift. Nobody came for two days to help us.

But very difficult to sleep as the balcony lets a lot of noise and light come in. AC and laundry machine loose water so we had to fix it ourselves. Several things were broken. Definitely not worth the high price we paied.

Once I had the code the process was simple

I did not appreciate the inconvenience of being locked out until a small payment of 3 euros had to be made for city taxes. This was clearly a problem between Booking.com and the host Sweetstay as full payment for the apartment had been made. In trying to pay this small sum online my accounts were blocked because the paymernt had been identified by the bank as being a fraud risk. I did not like this inconvenience

Central location, one bottle of water in the fridge, easy to collect the keys

Apartment extremely small, low ceiling (hit my head multiple times), shower next to bed (literally no wall or door or anything), WC super narrow (a bigger person cannot fit properly and close the door), spiders on the wall, apartment not properly cleaned, expensive, apartment smells like mold.

Location

The washing machine was not working upon our arrival, but it was eventually repaired on the second day of our stay. Unfortunately, there were no drying stands available, which made it impossible for us to dry our clothes. Furthermore, the advertised drying machine was nowhere to be found. The TV remote was also non-functional, and we had to replace the batteries. However, we were only able to watch YouTube videos as there was no cable or access to television programs. Two days before our arrival, we received a message requesting an advance payment of €250, which had not been communicated to us previously and despite having made a full payment for the apartment already. Additionally, the apartment did not have a fire alarm, which we believe is essential for any rental property. Finally, we were only provided with two rolls of toilet paper, which was not sufficient for the length of our stay.

great location and very good value

There was a damp smell from the toilet - which the owners are remedying.

the property is very small and unclear, very uncomfortable the bathroom and the roof of the room. the hairdryer doesn’t work cause you need the adapter

Clean and comfortable! With all safely on place. Wonderful place in the heart of old Valletta.

Lack of absorber. A little bit cold.
