I don’t even know where to begin - this was the worst rental I’ve ever had through Expedia, Airbnb, Vrbo, or any other platform I’ve used. The place looked nothing like the pictures and there was nothing “modern” about it (as the descriptor calls it). The place was dirty and run down. The stove didn’t work, it was impossible to take a shower (because the temperature constantly went from hot to cold to hot), and as per Expedia’s description, there was no dryer. In addition, there was garbage strewn in the front yard and the backyard was unusable and filled with weeds. When I complained to the manager of the property and requested a partial refund because it didn’t have a dryer as advertised, she said she wasn’t responsible for the amenities that Expedia advertised. When I complained to Expedia, they refused to do anything about it. I have been a faithful Expedia customer for many years but after this experience, I will not be using them for my future travel needs. It is clear that Expedia does not vet the lodging that gets advertised on its site or take responsibility for the quality of it.
