"Told a dream house, more like an adequate house."

7.0

The house was very spacious especially for a family of 4 and up staying. The location is good if needing a bus or train. The hostess was very helpful when we needed questions asked.

The boiler gets very very hot which i feel needs to be checked as the whole house gets uncomfortably boiling. Kitchen clearly needs an upgrade as the cupboards are loose and dated. The ceilings look like they have had a rush paint job done to them especially in the kitchen. The floorboards on the stairs clearly need replacing as they are so badly creaking. When we entered the property there was washing still in the washing machine. The garden needs attention plus we was only told last minute that the back garden wasn't part of the listing but I'm guessing this was because it is in a mess.

"Do not stay"

1.0

Nothing

The place was very dirty and we ended up leaving. The toilet wouldnt flush, the ceilings are falling through from water leaks. The oven was disgusting. We had booked for the weekend but left after an hour as it was not fit for staying in. I contacted and tried to arrange a refund and they just blamed us stating that we made it that way despite have photos of how bad the place was. We are currently still trying to fight a refund. Save yourself the hassle and dont stay here!

"Do not book this property"

1.0

Nothing

Do not book this property. The house was not ready for us when we arrived at 3pm, as per the check-in instructions. When we were finally allowed in, it was clear that we had wasted £150+. We were a party of 6 and should have had three bedrooms plus a sofa bed downstairs, including towels and bed linens. On arrival, there was no bedding at all for the sofa bed, the cover of which was dirty and stained. Duvets in two of the bedrooms had no covers on, meaning we were expected to use duvets which all the other guests had used before, without being washed. The bathrooms were disgustingly dirty and covered in limescale. Carpets throughout were dirty, damaged and threadbare. Exceptionally creaky flooring throughout the upstairs (probably due to poor maintenance) meant that everyone was disturbed if people were moving around. The fridge was dirty and had big cracks in the door containers. The boiler looked dangerous and did not seem to have been serviced recently, given the staining around the vents. Cupboard doors were hanging off in the kitchen, the door handles were dirty and there were not enough cups for a party of 6 to all have a drink. We left as soon as possible in the morning as none of us had slept and could not wait to leave this disgusting place. We will be pursuing compensation.

"Very expensive for a disappointing stay. Luckily we only sleeping there for one night."

4.0

The beds were clean and you could park outside.

The bathroom floor was dirty and dusty. The garden was completely overgrown with weeds and nettles so you could not sit out in it! There was also an old broken down fridge out in the garden surrounded by other rubbish. There were only 3 mugs despite it being booked for 5 people and the kitchen facilities were very poor, not even providing a toaster so we could not make breakfast in the morning!

"Don't waste your money"

3.0

Nothing

It was dirty. Rubbish in bedroom cupboards. Cobwebs in every corner. Grimey floors. Extremely over grown garden, not accessible. Weeds as tall as me. Very dated and falling apart bathroom and kitchen. Boiler noisy and stain marks around it, is it safe ? Water damage stains on kitchen ceiling. Damaged ceiling. Laminate floor lifting in front room, trip hazard. Stair carpet so thin, every step creaks. Window in bedroom unable to open, despite the key being left. Airing cupboard emitting extreme heat onto the upstairs and bedrooms. Unable to turn off water heater.
