Clear Sky Resorts - Bryce Canyon - Unique Stargazing Domes

The remote to control the main ac/heater was missing. We froze at night and early morning. Could not find a spare. Stargazing event had too many people to be timely with only one telescope.

Bed super comfy and the pods are gorgeous. Smore bags a really cute idea. We didn’t get the weather for stargazing which is a shame- but this is obviously not the hotels fault.

For the price ($500 for one night) I would expect more from the hotel. We were not allowed to check in earlier than 3pm (arrived at 2:30ish) - which I understand is likely policy, however despite the compound being literally empty of guests we were told that the room wasn’t finished. The bar/ cafe had no staff at this time. I do think that perhaps a welcome drink and seat in the garden could be offered? As the garden bar area is nice but it was not indicated we were able to use it while waiting to check in. We waited for check in but without even being able to get a drink (the desk did say we could get a coffee but there was no-one to serve and she didn’t seem inclined to find anyone) When we got in to the pod, the frame of the pod was covered in dust, so either it hadn’t been made up that day or it was a very light clean. The staff seem unbothered in general. When we were checked in, we were asked if we made a booking for dinner- when we said no she just went “oh- it gets busy” but didn’t offer to make a reservation for us. We did have dinner, but they were out of the beer we wanted and the main dish, there was no real vibe in the restaurant/bar. It is very pricey to eat/ drink there. We watched the bar tender face-time friends as the bar was so empty. Just in general the service really needs to be stepped up if you are going to charge so much for the hotel- at the end of the day you get the same view of the sky if you just go camping- the hotel needs to be worth paying for too. Dark sky rules not enforced- we were told lights put out and no fires by 10pm- the pod next to us kept a fire outside until midnight and were clearly not told to put it out. This was mildly annoying as the clearest patch of sky was at midnight.

This was our first but not our last dome experience. We plan on doing their GC location in November. Food onsite was fantastic. Service was fantastic. Our dome was fantastic. Don’t hesitate to stay here. Even “snobs” like us loved it!

Staying at Clear Sky Resorts was an unforgettable experience! The stargazing domes are magical , falling asleep under the Bryce Canyon night sky was truly a dream. The telescope was a nice touch, and the breakfast was delicious. Can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely loved this resort! The domes are so cozy and unique, and the views at night are breathtaking. We enjoyed the firepit with other guests and had great coffee in the morning. It’s the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.

Clear Sky exceeded my expectations. The dome was spotless and comfortable, and waking up to the views of Bryce Canyon was priceless
