White Sand Inn

Umar runs a wonderful guesthouse in White Sands Inn. The rooms are clean, the AC cold, the showers hot, and an easy 1 minute walk to the beach. Rakib, the caretaker, is very helpful, cooking breakfast at times convenient for you, helping organise trips, cleaning your room, and generally making you feel both safe and welcomed. Our family did the whale shark trip twice as we didn't get to see them on the first day, but did on the second day, along with dolphins too. We also went to picnic island and got to see several more grey reef sharks and a cow tail sting ray. Umar was also very helpful in setting up speed boat transfers to and from Male/Maamigili. He was available on whatsapp before and during our stay with very timely responses. Make sure you reseach Maamigili first as it is a local island, focused on other industries with a basic tourist infrasture. Personally, our family really liked it and enjoyed the slow pace. We got to talk with many of the locals over the 5 days. Overall, if you are looking for an affordable and convenient way to fulfill your dreams of swimming with the biggest fish in the ocean, you can do it here at White Sands Inn.

Realy comfort bed, nice terace with view on the palms, two bicycles on which you can go to the city because accomodation is near bikiny beach but far from the center. Owner take is to the small island with boat for three hours just for free with others guest. It was so nice day. In the night break our air condition and the manager of accomodation go reapair it. Thank you :)

All island Maamigili is just small Male, no good vibe in this city but is good location to trip to see whale shark. The beach is small but nice. Accomodation is good for the money, but after 5 days they no cleaning our room and no change towels. Breakfast is always same, continental. Every days 2 eggs, toast with butter and jam.

We stayed at White Sand Inn for 3 nights. And would stayed there again for sure. Great price performance, frendly and welcoming team. They arranged the transfer to and back, they arranged whale shark trip(found whale sharks in no time + Mantas), after whaleshark seeing went snorkling on different reefs(included in price). (Through out all the trip they arranged all the transitions to different exit points) They have option to get bikes (out prefered way of exploring thing(for free)). The owner arranged picnic island trip, again for free(maybe exlusive ocasion, but still, it happened:)) Great breakfast. Clean rooms. They offer to wash and dry your cloathing, again free, which shows the hospitality that we receved. The bikini beach is 2min away. Scuba center(Shamar guest house) is next door. Our dive guide also stayed at white sand. (Shamar and white sand are owned by two brothers). All in all great experience, I would recommened it to anyone who is planning to go to Maamigili. 10/10.

Great location just by the beach. Value for price is exceptional. Super friendly and very helpful guys operating the place. Everything was organised without any issues. I wholeheartedly recommend.

I had an amazing 4-nights stay in White Sand Inn. A small, but very cute bikini beach is just 3 min away. The guesthouse itself is very clean, with comfortable bedding. The breakfast is simple, but very tasty, with fresh fruits, toasts and eggs. But the best thing is the guesthouse's owner and his staff. Both are very caring, with always big attention to clients. Despite being very busy with multiple businesses,  the owner helped me to organize the transfer, snorkeling tours, showed me the island, and on my last day even organized a fish BBQ for the whole guesthouse. I didn't have to worry about anything and could only enjoy my stay on the island! I would definitely return here!

The sink in the bathroom was leaking water, but it wasn't a big problem

It’s small and nice buildings .in the room have air conditioning and fan the room is clean Hasan is great reception he can answer your any questions and he’s nice he keep the property really clean and the owner of the hotel is a good man he managed our tips for manta and whale shark he’s trying his best but he still need experience anyway he made up by one dinner it’s nice for me he more like my big brother he’s very helpful even he’s chasing every penny so free dinner for guests it’s a big step 😂(the costumers in here is so cool they can play guitar and sing)

Amazing personal experience with the sweet guys who work there. Also they are good entertainers. Never had a boring night. The owner is also a very helpful man and they all looked out for me and took good care of me, since I am a young solo female traveler. I felt very safe at White Sand Inn. I definitely recommend everyone to stay at this place when they visit Maldives.

I had an excellent stay at White Sand Inn with my family for one night. The experience was truly memorable, and my family thoroughly enjoyed their time. The hotel owner generously provided us with two complimentary vehicle trips, which was a delightful surprise. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome. I highly recommend White Sand Inn for anyone looking for a wonderful and hospitable stay.
