Guest House Topsail

Very nice facilities

Location, location and location.

The accommodation was on the ground floor with two stories above it. The floor above us was extremely loud and work is up early due to the people above us walking loudly. Also, the suite needs light blocking curtains.

The Guest House is a gem. This is a small tower like structure where you can book a room or all 3 floors if needed. I stayed with 2 friends in the larger room in the back by the parking lot. 3 beds, sleeps 4. One large bathroom. The small kitchenette in the room had a refrigerator and water available. We had a small patio and outdoor shower just outside the room. Such lovely beaches, fishing pier, restaurants and clubs on this South end of the island. On Thursdays an Art Fair sets up in the empty lot next door. We heard live music, ate at the neighboring restaurants and went to the beach. All within easy walking distance.

The bathroom was the largest room, a bit odd. The floors were not cleaned sufficiently. We used the room for sleeping only, so if you are looking for something with a indoor lounge area, our room would not be your preference.

The guest house was superb. We stayed one night, and it was perfect for what we needed. The location was right next to the beach, probably 100 yards away, the facility was clean. The beach atmosphere was spot on. I would stay there again if I was going to Topsail Island. The Sea Suite bed was huge. The sitting area was nice. A perfect spot for 2 people.

I think the owners of the property should have a sign on what door the guest should enter if they are staying on the second or third floor. When we arrived, we ended up walking into someone else's suite, and the guest staying on the third floor was just as confused on what door to enter and how to get into the building. The second thing, I didn't like (in my opinion) where the window curtains. The room was stylish and super clean, but it had 8 windows and, curtains allowed so much light in that at 6am in the morning, it made it hard to sleep in.

The room itself was nice but not as big as the pictures made it out to be. There is no deck or view of the ocean from the room. The room had many windows and the blinds were not great so a lot of sun came in each morning. The bed mattress was a bit dated and sunk in during our sleep.

Loved the setup! The room was very nice and updated. The location was perfect to where we wanted to be on the island. We will def be back!
