One Day Trip Hostel

La atención y el precio son excelentes.

Sería importante tener a alguien en recepción las 24 hrs. Para un mejor control y seguridad.

The hostel has large single beds (for one and a half people). It is located in a quiet side street. 3 minutes walk from the center. The kitchen is very well equipped. There is also a very nice cafe attached to the hotel with very nice music. I highly recommend it, especially if you are lucky enough to get a room for 4 people and a window facing the small street (because there is also a room for 8 people, without a window).

The place was overall ok; no huge complaints.

Payment was quirky. They told me no payment by card (even though their listing says it's accepted), so I went out and got extra local cash and paid, then saw them let other people pay by card (15% fee). Also, on my booking.com reservation, the amount wasn't given in local currency, just USD, but what they charged me was a higher equivalent amount. OK, none of that is the end of the world, but it was off-putting.

The dorm ans common areas were clean and situated in a little side street but very much in the center. The area is nice, relatively quiet and felt safe. The beds were walled in on three sides to make them into little pods which felt cozy. Wifi was good, which I really appreciated. There's a kitchen table and a small lounge area in the foyer.

First of all, they advertise card payments on booking. Com but refuse to actually let you pay by card - it's cash only, which left me scrambling to find an ATM after just arriving in Guatemala, which I specifically wanted to avoid by booking a hostel which took card payments. Many parts of the property could use some love, e.g. there's peeling paint in many places, broken faucets covered in tape etc. My dorm room was very small with no space for luggage - anything bigger that hand luggage did not fit under the beds and the room was so small that some travellers slept with their suitcase in their beds... There were also no lockers, which really bothered me as we all had to leave passports, laptops etc. laying on our beds with dorm rooms that don't lock and the front door always wide open. All in all not great but not horrible. There's better options in Antigua at the same price point.

Idéalement situé au coeur d'Antigua, le personnel est très sympathique à l'écoute et serviable. les lits du dortoir sont grands, confortables avec rideaux et prise électrique.
