Spa & Wellness Hotel Fitak****

Really lovely spa hotel in the Liptovsky Jan valley. Really clean, modern fittings, spacious room, VERY comfortable beds. We slept really well, had a gorgeous mountain view and enjoyed the surrounding walking after a good breakfast. The pool was nice, I had an excellent (TOUGH) massage, and a really comprehensive spa experience.

I didn't dislike anything, as such, but I have some comments about the hotel that could make it better - I only gave it 9/10 because I think it let itself down in a couple of areas. Firstly, the pool does not open until 12:00 midday - this is crazy. We didn't realise this when we booked - we probably would still have picked it because we saw the alternatives in the same valley and nearer to Chopok where there are some hideous hotels, BUT, we are breakfast swimmers, and it is not weird to want to swim early in the morning. We chose to go to a spa hotel to have access to a pool all day. The spa is also not open until 15:00 - this is also crazy. You pay to go to a spa hotel but for half of the time, literally, you cannot go in there. We thought that they might say this was related to staffing issues or something, but i don't find it acceptable when there often wasn't a lifeguard anyway, and it presumably does not take that long to clean. Secondly, we were unsure about the spa process - normally upon entering the pool and spa area there are towels available to you. Here, there were none, so the first time we went down without anything. I think they should provide towels in the spa - this is common practice. It is quite a new hotel so perhaps these are just teething problems. ? Thirdly, we had a good breakfast, but there was a clear divide between the weekend breakfast and the weekday breakfast - we stayed from Thursday to Tuesday, and on saturday and sunday we had a great choice - on monday/tuesday, suddenly they didn't provide much. I understand this is about numbers, but this doesn't mean you have to reduce choice - just reduce the amount of food. Disappointing. The white bread was also stale on a couple of mornings - reused from dinner? Lastly, we had dirty spoons left in the tea set in the room, and a dirty cup in the bathroom. Overall the hotel was spotless and no issues with the major things (bathroom, toilet, sheets etc.

Náš pobyt v tomto hoteli hodnotíme veľmi pozitívne. Hotel sme navštívili druhýkrát , no určite sa sem budeme vracať pravidelne. Wellness centrum je na veľmi slušnej úrovni, vybavenie spĺňa očakávania a poskytuje príjemný oddych. Čo sa týka čistoty hotela, bola naozaj výborná – od izieb až po spoločné priestory. Počas pobytu sa síce vyskytli drobné nedorozumenia alebo nám niečo chýbalo, ale všetko bolo promptne a profesionálne vyriešené. Veľkú pochvalu si zaslúži manažér hotela – je skutočne profesionálny, láskavý a ochotný. Vidno, že svoju prácu robí s nadšením a zodpovedne, čo sa odráža aj na celkovej atmosfére v hoteli. Rovnako pozitívne hodnotíme aj recepčného – jeho ústretové a profesionálne správanie je presne to, čo hosť očakáva pri príchode do hotela. Ďakujeme za príjemný pobyt a tešíme sa na ďalšiu návštevu!
