Great Alaska Adventures Lodge

We did the fishing at Seward on Thursday June 12, 2025. We were on the Tia Rose vessel. Our captain CJ, and crew Dante and Nick were phenomenal! The weather was fantastic, we caught all of our limits and the Captain CJ made our experience on the ocean a smooth enjoyable experience. DON’T MISS THIS CHARTER!!!

Great place. I had already hired my fishing guide but we stayed here. Very nice staff, great breakfast and great location. I would definitely return. They offer guide services and they have a nice restaurant. Our room was "rustic comfortable".

We had an amazing stay at Great Alaska Adventures in Sterling, AK. Traveling with 2 children - ages 12 and 14 - who love fishing and the outdoors. The accommodations are incredible and staff could not be more attentive and caring. Location was amazing for fishing right from the shores of the lodge. Grounds also comfortable for non-anglers with seating and an outdoor fireplace by the rivers edge. Appreciated hugely the chef preparing our salmon for us to enjoy. Our children also appreciated the kayaks and waders provided. Food is fantastic and very reasonable so plan all your meals right at the lodge. We will absolutely return!

We spent a perfect week at Great Alaska Adventures! The staff and owners not only provided us with a comfortable cabin on the shores of the Moose and Kenai Rivers, they provided all meals (including To-go boxes when we were off resort), booked our excursions, and gave us tips on what to do with our open time. Rodrigo, Chelsea & Rob went above expectations to make the stay exceptional for us and other guests. Lori & Catherine gave great advice with planning our excursions, car rental & answering all of our questions. We used the complimentary kayaks to paddle up the river and saw eagles and sand hill cranes. Perfect trip! Thank you Mark & Julie!

One of the friendliest and accommodating staff I have ever encountered. I have gone on several fishing and hunting trips and none treated me better. The place was clean, food was great and the view was amazing. They booked us on six fishing trips from halibut to salmon and everyone was great, the captains and deck hands were like fishing with friends and they worked hard to get you on the fish. When I go back to Alaska I will definitely stay here again I wanted to thank everyone there for making my trip great

Beautiful property next to the Kenai and Moose Rivers. Only stayed for one night, but it is mainly a fishing lodge that offers charters. They provide fishing poles and kayaks. Perfect for a quick night. Stayed in the loft with 4 double/queen beds. Plenty of room. They also provide drinks and fridge. Food sounded amazing.

We stayed at the Great Alaskan Lodge in Sterling for 4 days after a cruise with our family of 5 and wished that we had more time. The Lodge recently reopened this year under new owners and new management and we could not be more pleased. The owner Mark and his wife were around and checking on everyone. All of the staff were amazing but our favorite person was Rod, the daytime manager. He went above and beyond to help us with all of our needs, including when our family was split on different trips and showing up to chauffeur our other half that did not have the rental car. The rooms were clean and spacious, the food was delicious and the location views and fishing were out of this world. All of their recommendations were spot on. We can’t wait to come back and would recommend to anyone looking for fishing and adventure. Thank you !!!!

Wonderful accommodations and LOTS of fish!

The location is gorgeous, the rooms spacious, everything fresh and clean. The owners recently acquired and renovated this hotel. You can tell it is still a work in progress as it needs some finishing touches in the rooms -- water and wine glasses, coffee makers, night stands, hair dryers. Otherwise, very comfortable.
