Vangvieng Sisavang Mountain View Hotel

Location was great and the breakfast plentyful. Staff was also friendly Scooter rental was easy and cheap and we got two pretty new and powerful Honda Click 125cc

Water pressure in our room in the uppermost floor was almost non existent and made showering a pain. Also even though rich the staff could not keep up with refilling during rush hour so we always had to wait for something getting restocked. So come early! Floors in the open areas were super dusty so wear old socks. Laundry came back damp from the laundry service.

The hotel was generally okay for the price. The room was simple but clean, and breakfast, although with limited options, was acceptable. The staff were friendly and easy to contact on WhatsApp, which was convenient for organizing transport.

Unfortunately, the travel arrangements were poorly organized and not transparent. Our transfer from Vientiane to Vang Vieng was delayed by over two hours — we had to wait without being able to go eat. Later, on the trip from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang, the pickup was confusing: the driver came earlier without telling us, and then they added extra people to the tuk-tuk. Prices were unclear and much higher than expected — for example, we paid 400k for a train ticket that actually costs 258k, and $13 for a short 3 km tuk-tuk ride. Also, ants appeared in the room and ate my gluten-free buns, which was quite disappointing.

Nice flat tv but no TV signal.Why does Booking.com advertise TV when it doesn't exist.Over a year now!
