Delta Lodge

My expectations were not high; I was very pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the room and facilities were. I would call this a hostel vs. motel located in a quiet area surrounded by trees a few blocks from the small village business area. A big fully-stocked kitchen, lots of free food available. Numerous refrigerators to keep food in (or rent a mini-fridge for $10/week). Huge dining area, several comfortable t.v. lounges,even a pool table! Each room has its own t.v. Large men's shower and toilet area. Just one shower/restroom for women, but more than adequate considering I was the only person using it. The manager was not on-site often, but available by a phone call and very responsive and helpful when called. I'm sure it is very busy in season with tourists and local workers, but early September we had the place pretty much to ourselves. Great place for a one-night stop-over, very affordable and comfortable for a longer stay.

Check-in instructions were a bit confusing but easily handled by a phone call to the manager who was very friendly and helpful.

Quiet place

The hot water & towels were lovely, the bed comfortable.

The fruit for breakfast disappeared before we got to breakfast about 6:30a. There were other choices available.

Check in can be a problem if you dont have a pkone because there is no reception

Breakfast options limited to oats and corn flakes

Check in a little fastidious if you dont have an american phone number. I certainely don't have understood the rules regarding to the breakfast. Better to ask for a room closed to the shared bathroom

There were nicer places in town, they could make it so much nicer on the inside if they spent some money on the place. Could be such a nice place…. If….
