Lovely accommodations in downtown Washington.

We love this inn!

Perfect spot to stay with my husband & 2 dogs! Made our trip very enjoyable. Will definitely do this again!

Not sure how to write this. I gave them 5 stars because the things I didn't like, they would have little control over. It's an incredibly unique space/layout. The owners strive to keep things quite after hours by simply reminding their guest others are around. Which as a solo traveler wanting early sleep and rest for the next days busy travel schedule. Completely an in/out online check in system, again with the help of booking.com. The rooms are clean, beautifully decoration, and offer all the things you might want. Fridge, microwave, hair dryer, complementary snack tray, and bottled water. Each room has a mini split ac/heat unit that is quiet and easy to operate. The rooms are only blocks away from the scenic Washington waterfront and Marina. Food, drink and bars are an easy walking distance. For an added treat travel by car about 10 miles and take the free ferry across the Pamlico River and loop back around to Washington. Free parking in a seemingly safe lot directly behind the inn. All in all they do a wonderful job giving you a clean and mostly quiet room. See below for what's not so quiet. I would stay again

When upstairs guests flushed the toilet the water rushing down the pipes could easily wake the dead in the unit below. The room view for me in the goosecreek room was the neighbors mechanical systems. That always had a smell of a natural gas leak. You don't get great views from many of the rooms, but I never felt I was missing out, because I never looked out the window anyway.

the location is excellent, easy walking distance to restaurants and the riverfront. The room itself is very nice, very clean, new, with a very nicely appointed bathroom

I was disappointed to discover that this inn is not really a hotel, but more like a motel, in that all rooms were accessed by an outside corridor which is very dark because it is sandwiched between the inn and the adjacent building. As a result, like a motel, we could not open the window or blinds because people could be walking by in close proximity. And there was no outdoor view. There was also no interior lobby or shared indoor space. I am troubled that the images of the rooms posted to the website are slightly deceptive, seeming to show light pouring in from windows with an outdoor view.

I had difficulty using the remote for the HVAC, but eventually got it figured out.

Location, homey feeling, great little place to stay right in the middle of Washington!

Only issue we had was we stayed in room 101, blackout curtains on the street windows would have been nice to shut out all the street light at night and even though it said soundproof walls you could hear even tvs and music playing in other rooms.

Private hotel right on Main Street. Easy access to all of your favorite shops and the riverfront. Quick walk to dinner at Ribeyes. Ice cream shop right across the street from the hotel scooped our dessert for us. Beautiful Valentine’s Day couple stay!
