The Homestead

One of the nicest places I've ever stayed in. This is a completely and impeccably renovated old motel; everything you see and touch is completely new because the remodeling took it down to the studs. It's family-run in the very best way by a friendly, engaging couple who are generous (they offered me some of their dinner) and caring. My room had a small kitchenette area with a high-quality coffeemaker (along with good, locally-roasted coffee), ice machine, and dishes in addition to the usual mini-fridge and microwave. The entire property is beautiful, with fantastic views of the mesa, games, and a seating area around a fire pit (with wood provided) in back. This place would be great for couples or families. You should stay here!

There was absolutely nothing to not like! This place is as close to perfect as possible.

Clean

The host was easy to work with and allowed an early check in. The property was comfortable and clean and the price was very fair.

Very quiet area with sufficient little kitchenette. I also liked that you could have a bonfire, although I didn’t since I was traveling alone. Very safe area, and a comfortable bed. Close to Grand Mesa and Colorado Monument without staying in the mountains.

Wonderful newly renovated boutique motel! Everything that you need is at your fingertips from coffee maker, personal ice machine & fridge & freezer. Loved the hot water on demand!! Manicured grounds with fire pit and a view to die for. Friendly owners on site!!

Awesome place would definitely stay again!

We like to support small family businesses wherever we go and the Homestead did not disappoint us at all. It was a wonderful discovery and we would recommend it to anyone needing to stay in the Grand Junction area. Our room was quiet, clean and had delicious ground coffee and a coffee maker for our early morning caffeine fix. The back patio was delightful with a relaxing view of the mesa beyond and a nice grass area. There was a fire pit which we did not use, but seemed like a nice amenity. Also it is just a quick drive to the downtown area of Palisade so for dinner and breakfast we enjoyed the local eateries.

The Homestead is just right off of the highway into town. A quiet location and sooo easy to get to. A "backyard" of beautiful green grass was an added bonus and directly out the back door. Our dog was thrilled! The kitchen area is equipped with everything you can need including real plates and utensils! A bonus. AND there are NO stairs to haul luggage up and down.

The room is a bit small but very well thought out and well appointed. It was only my husband and I and our 14-pound dog so it was not a problem. Kitchen area is meant for one person at a time.
