Scandic House, 1 Bed Apartments, Sleeps 2, Ulverston

Had everything we needed for a quiet weekend away, spending some quality time with my partner. I'm very picky about places I stay and can often feel uncomfortable and out of place, but I was able to feel at home right away in Scandic House.

I was a little unnerved when I arrived and saw the scaffolding on the outside but being taught to never judge a book by it's cover, thankfully we were staying on the inside looking out. The apartment was beautiful; it felt both roomy yet cosy and was the perfect size for the two of us. The facilities, especially the kitchen, were well thought out and the shower especially was great. The location was ideal too as we were close enough to walk into town and a 2 minute drive to a supermarket to grab some food and essentials. All in all, I can't fault the apartment at all and would highly recommend to anyone who's looking for a nice place to rest their head after a day or two hiking!

As mentioned, the scaffolding on the outside is a bit of an eyesore but you didn't notice this from inside the apartment. That aside, there were no negatives to Scandic House.

Very cosy place, really modern and not far from Ulverston town centre (approx 5 min walk)

Parking can be a bit of an issue at the front of the property, as it isn’t a huge space (but can hold around 4/5 cars)
