Location, Windows to the street, old building style

Eu fiquei apenas uma noite, mas o hotel parece estar bem localizado.

O hotel é bem antigo, mas isso não é bem problema, porém o padrão está mais para o de um hostel do que de um hotel.

Ubicación, incluye desayuno, buena atención en general.

1. Mal olor en el baño. 2. No se repuso el papel higiénico. 3. No se hizo aseo de la pieza, incluso al colocar solicitud en la puerta. 4. Si bien incluye el desayuno, este no tuvo variaciones, siendo el mismo todos los días. 5. La taza de baño tenía una filtración que mojaba el piso del baño.

O hotel possui acomodações antigas, porém a limpeza deixa a desejar. A roupa de cama é suja, há cabelos por tudo, não há serviço de quarto, banheiros são imundos, resumindo, fujam desta roubada.

El personal muy amable. La ubicación.

Las instalaciones están en regular estado.

Nothing - the place is a crack house/prostitution flophouse being advertised as fit for tourists

The pictures were obviously very, very old. Place is a DUMP in a very bad area. We had to haul all our bags up on a rickety old elevator. The desk clerk is highly emotional, yelled at me over the wifi not connecting. We were trying to call for help to get out of there, finally connected and tried to sneak out with our bags. The clerk came down the stairs and made me tell him we were only leaving because of the facilities and not his behavior before he would back off. I am fortunate enough to speak decent Spanish so I was able to communicate but it was difficult. My daughter was quite scared. We were lucky the cab driver had given us his card so we could call him for help. I still have not received a refund. The clerk told me to call his boss the next day but at first he tried to charge me for one night because we were in the room for all of 10 minutes while we tried to call for help to leave. I threatened him with the police and he magically agreed to return all the money (wonder why he was scared of the police 🤔?) but then insisted we had to return the next day with the card to get a refund. It would have cost over $60 to get a cab there and back to my hotel and I was not about to go back to that disgusting, dangerous place where we were made to feel extremely unsafe. I have tried to report to booking com because this place absolutely should not be advertised to tourists.. Of course there is no way to call or connect but I will continue once I get home and get this disgrace removed from the site. I would hate to see anyone go through this, particularly any young woman traveling alone. I am glad my daughter and I were together. We were lucky in so many ways but with the obvious instability of the desk clerk things could easily have been much, much worse. Please do not book a room here. Montevideo is a wonderful place and I guarantee you will be able to find a decent hotel in your price range ❤️
