Silsbee's by Daniels House

Beautiful property. Close enough to walk to all the town attractions and free assigned off street parking. However the stairs to the 2nd floor are high and steep. There is no insulation in the place. You can literally see the room below through the floor boards and it sounds like the people down there are in the same room. For us that meant a very loud group of people who kept us up. At no point did we see anyone who ran the place. Everything came via email. A code to the door, how to get in, how to leave the place, etc.. The bed was extra firm and we both ended up in pain each morning, plus I think the shower needs a PHD to work it.

This is such a wonderful historic property to stay at! Easy access and a good cold breakfast selection, and the owners are really kind!

Massive shower

The Rajah Room was absolutely beautiful and had a claw foot bathtub right in it. The room was comfortable and very clean. Patrick and Adele were accommodating and friendly. The floors are thin because the building itself was a barn at one point, but as long as you (or your neighbors) aren’t making a ton of noise you should be okay!

It was a bit tricky with all the emailing of codes etc & the stairs were also hard to get up with all our luggage but it was a cute place to stay in keeping with the area

Beautiful, but the pull-out sofa was in bad condition. The mattress was essentially sunken in and very uncomfortable. Would be a great stay for 2 people, but for 4, it was not a good fit.

We had a lovely stay. The owner and the staff are very friendly. The room was a dream, we stayed at the Rajah room which has a beautiful badtub. The breakfast area is so cozy, the tea

Continental breakfast was not as described. Hardboiled eggs were not offered.

There was a note that said that due to the age of the building the walls were thin so quiet hours were from 11:00 pm - 7:00. We could literally hear the conversation from the people below us. They obviously could hear us as well. They were screaming at us and banging on the ceiling. When our room was dark, you could literally see slivers of light from their room through the floorboards - that is how not sound insulated the place was. We had no sleep through the night as they were quite noisy, rude and abusive. It was the worst experience.
