Village Inn and Pub - Adults Only

So happy we chose The Village Inn and Pub for our vacation. Location was good for first time on SSI. The Inn is just at the top of the downtown section, which made it really easy to walk to restaurants, ice cream, the light house and the pier. Although it is on a main street, most of the rooms face an inner courtyard which was quiet. These rooms overlook the pool, beautiful live oak trees and other Inn building. There is no elevator, but steps were easy. Every employee that we chatted with were friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere. And our room (204) had many nice touches and was very clean. We had a very comfortable bed, two chairs, and bench that was convenient when we returned to the room and lots of light. There is a desk if you must work. There was a clothing steamer and nice toiletries. Local chocolates and complimentary water in bottles for us after every housekeeping. The only recommendation I can think of for the room would be hooks near the door to hang up wet raincoats. Another great consideration is the Pub! We went over for most happy hours to enjoy the atmosphere before heading out to dinner. Lots of nice people enjoying music and company. One evening we returned after dinner for the Music Bingo! The Pub does fill quickly because it is not that large. The Pub is also the location of the breakfast. There are a few hot items, fruit, yogurt and pastries along with juice, coffee, tea. We would easily return to The Village Inn and Pub. *Ask for a room that faces the Courtyard.

Very close to many restaurants and drink. Walkable to everything. Rooms were very clean and the Pub is right there, breakfast is quite nice also.

The room small but quaint. The robe and slippers were ver comfy. The breakfast was good too.

Overall 4 stars. Delightful check-in/out. Beautifully furnished/decorated rooms and well situated for walking around the small town. The room had a remarkably powerful odor which appeared to be covering something up (like damp, maybe) but leaving the balcony door open during the day to air the room out, helped. The breakfast was nice but not replenished. I did not expect to get there at 9.30 with very little left to offer and when I asked, the lady said nothing more would be available. Tough on those who like a late start on holiday. Would stay there again though it's higher than I would normally pay but the bonus of having a pub on site and no children in the pool and common areas was a great attraction clearly to all of those there.

A+++ we loved our king deluxe room. The bedding was super soft and comfy, nespresso machine in the room, robes, slippers, great happy hour at the reception area. Well kept and clean property, every little detail was thought out from the glasses to silverware. 100% would recommend.

Best kept secret on St. Simons Island. Best location and a great place to stay. This place is a gem.
