Azalea Garden Inn

The room was in the back of the motel up some stairs where all the rest were up front on ground level with nice big windows

Azalea Garden Inn is a perfect little gem. The rooms are cozy and clean. But the highlight is the stunning, tranquil Azalea garden steps from the hotel rooms. It’s a perfect place to sit, read, early morning yoga (like I did). We even ate breakfast out there on a picnic blanket. The location can’t be beat. Walkable to the best restaurants and shoppes, and an awesome playground for the kiddos. Tweetsie Amusement park is a five minute drive, and close to river tubing and the famous mountain coaster too. Loved it so much, I booked our trip back for next year. Next time, we’ll stay in the private cabins that are also on site. Highly recommend.

The property is walking distance to any and everything we wanted to do in the town including an outlet shopping mall and great restaurants. although it is on a main street, the angle of the property is such that you do not hear street traffic at all. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the staff was welcoming and personable. We stayed here because the hotel we had originally planned to stay had a water main break. We are so glad to have found this place for all of our future stays as we come to the area often.

Although there is a Keurig in each room and coffee in the office area at 6:30 every morning, the coffee was not all that great. But that’s not a big issue.

We enjoyed a very restful visit. Friendly staff, our room was well appointed with very comfortable bed. We loved the outdoor seating area for relaxing, enjoying lemonade and popcorn during the afternoon and coffee during the morning. The grounds are beautiful with an abundance of flowers. This is definitely our go to place when we visit beautiful Blowing Rock.

Location to town

The people that owned it in the past kept the grounds and flowers beautifully. That was the reason we stayed there. That was the charm. Corporation bought it just after money. We won't stay there in the future.

Loved the gardens, and the location. The room was quiet and comfortable.
