Kiteville Cedar Rapids

Place closed down when this was our only place we had to go smh hope they reopen again soon!

Nothing - apparently they violated fire laws and the Cedar Rapids Fire Marshal closed the building on 5th of February and forced everyone out. I still had ~6 weeks rent paid ahead which has yet to be refunded.

Bugs. I bought killer myself. Filter on heater/air conditioner was covered with musty mold. Clogged tub drain and sink had to use knife to pry open to drain. . The lady who cleaned the lobby never swept before she mopped and not once was a caution cone/sin put out. The coffe pot in the lobby stopped working . The internet was very weak. TV would go without signal seems bout 4 pm every day. They rented the rooms out knowing the building to be fire hazard and other violations finally the city of Cedar Rapids closed the hotel for failure to comply.

This hotel was all we could afford. Living on limit funds and no place to call home. Sad but we made a dump into a one room home for us. It seems the owner would rather call and complain to me about a bad review i gave. One would think they'd like to know about how their business isn't up to par. And needed attention. In the end of things we were given 24 hours notice to leave. The building unsafe. Guess they knew of the problem and ignored the warnings. A week ago they were told of possible displacement and yet we were never told of this. A knock on the door giving all who residents were to vacate by 8 am 24 hours. Then giving refunds for paid rooms must wait 20 plus days.

Love the security of this place 🤗 when you first walk in you have your own personal code when entering then greeted by a gorgeous entry with breathtaking chandeliers. Once I got to my room you have a super comfortable bed 😴 Bit the bathroom takes the cake 🤩 it’s multi ring light vanity mirror and amazing water pressure shower make for a beautifully and relaxing stay.

The room was not setup as one should be. The towel selection could be better. You get very minimal towels although the shower was very good as far as pressure goes the shower curtain. Had black stains on it like it hasn’t been changed in a long time. Our fridge was not plugged in and also had the same black stains. I had to clean the microwave before using as there was old food caked to the top.

The hotel went out of business 2 days after I paid for a full week. They are kicking everyone out and I didn't get told until 12 hours before they told all guests of the hotel they have to be gone. I have not gotten a refund

The selfcheck.in was weird and so is the secure.entranxe. mad either scary there.

The staff was amazing. The room was quiet.
