Denali Lakeview Inn

Very unique property - the best feature for sure is the serene lake that the Inn sits over. We saw moose walking around right in front of us in the early morning hours drinking from the lake. The lake is picturesque and we were able to see northern lights over the lake as well which made our trip to the Inn an epic experience. The rooms are clean however the scent of the cleaning products is intense. The furniture/style is old and the exterior of the building is not in the best shape and the entrance to the hotel leaves you questioning if you're in the right spot. The walls are very thin so you can hear conversations of neighboring guests. But the staff are kind, it's got the charm of a family run Inn and they have food/snacks and drinks ready for you in your room which was a nice perk and very thoughtful addition, but the Folgers coffee left a lot to be desired. If you are looking to get out of Healy and more into a secluded area for the views of the lake and wildlife, it's a great spot. The Inn itself leaves a bit to be desired yet has so much potential to be amazing with a little make over.

The Denali Lakeview inn was a wonderful place to stay. Absolutely beautiful place, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff.

Our room was spacious, clean, welcoming, and had a beautiful lake view! Our surprise was that the room contained a kitchenette that included everything we needed for our morning breakfast. Perfect for an early morning start! After traveling around Alaska and sleeping on several uncomfortable beds, this room had firm mattresses that felt like I was at home. I also liked that this was a family run business. The owners were there on the property and were very friendly, caring people. Another plus was that the Inn is conveniently located near Denali National Park. The only thing we didn’t like was that the gravel road leading into the place was full of large pot holes and the preceding ATV business overshadowed the beautiful Inn.

It was beautiful, remote, and very tranquil for our 4 night stay. We recommend a Lakeview room because the view is breathtaking and we even saw a moose and her baby eating and then crossing the lake.

cons: a bit pricey, a wee drive from the park, isolated. pros: charming, comfortable, clean, friendly, gorgeous lake view (w/ moose at one point). breakfast included was nice but nothing wow. walkable golf course restaurant was just ok. liked 49th st brewing better.
