The Shack Inn

Nice surprise located above a Bait & Tackel Shop. Our room was spacious & charming with a kitchenet. Just like pictured. The views in every direct are spectacular.

really loved this inn, the property & location. it has stunning views, was clean & as shown.the staff were extremely nice but the service wasn’t what we expected. the only thing we were disappointed in was that check in said 2pm when we scheduled it, we got no email with instructions like they stated they would send within 24hrs. we messaged twice the morning of check in and got no response, so we eventually went over to the shop underneath to see who we talk to about it and then we were told codes to get in go out after rooms were cleaned which we then didnt get to check in until after 4pm, and still no one addressed the 2pm check in & not checking in until 2 hours later. that was the only thing!

What a treat! This was a really special place. The best room is the suite facing the sea.

We really had a cute room and we felt safe and comfortable the whole stay.

I loved everything! The view and the utilities where perfect.

Very scenic near the water and beach. Was perfect for my short weekend stay.

Furnished well, good location

Very noisy- it is on top of a bait shop and has decking on two sides. There is no privacy when people walk by because they can easily see in the windows and the whole place shook- I thought there was an earthquake the first time someone walked by. Since it is on the street it felt unsafe sleeping with the windows open- someone could easily walk up and climb through. There was no way to secure the window partially open so I rigged a system with a hanger. You can hear through the walls- our neighbors were having loud sex! It is also right on the main road and there was traffic all night.

This was the perfect location if you want to be on the Homer spit. Close to shopping and restaurants and the ocean can be seen from every window. Beds were super comfy and the shower hot. We will return if we need lodging in Homer again!

Beautiful views and convenient location. Especially loved the proximity to the incredible oyster bar next door.

There was no sign and no check in/out instructions sent so it was a bit odd going into the downstairs tackle shop and inquiring when we arrived. I would expect a smoother process for the $300 a night rate we were paying. Thankfully the sweet young lady working at the tackle shop was able to contact the host and get us the door code and wifi info.

Loved that it was right on the ocean and loved that it was on the Homer Spit, close to all the amenities
