The Shack Inn

Shawn was really great communicating with me about my late arrival and departure. The room was perfect…spacious, clean, comfortable, and had a view of the bay. I will be returning to this place.

Great location and the water views. Easy access and nice kitchen.

No signage. Unsure of actual location.

Right in the spit

Location on the Homer spit is scenic and convenient to restaurants, the harbor, and water taxis. Large room gave us plenty of space to spread out and organize our gear. The structure is supported on pilings above the beach; water swirls beneath it at high tide. Virginia, the owner, called us on our way to Homer to let us know that an unusually windy storm was whipping up heavy surf under the building; she graciously arranged for us to stay at another inn that night because of the noise of the storm. Fortunately, we were able to switch back to the Shack Inn for the remaining nights, and much enjoyed our stay.

Close to everything we wanted to do and see in Homer. Clean room, comfortable bed and beautiful views.

Needs to have more towels and wash cloths in room for two people to use for the length of their stay.

Everything was wonderful

The Shack Inn on the Homer spit was a great place to stay. I was very comfortable staying and the unit that I stayed in was spacious and tastefully done. It was clean and in a great location in order to experience the Homer spit!
