Yercaud Bungalow Stay

As much as the property was excellent, quiet and located in silent area. Beautiful view of mountain.

1.When we reached the location it took half an hr for us to find the property as there was no name board, the next door neighbor didn't know the door number or the name of the property. 2. There was no signal and we had to struggle to make the payment. Why is the wifi password being changed everyday. I am sure none of the guests will roam around the property just to use wifi after vacating. Also the wifi password is provided only after payment Even for using ola bike they had a seperate registeration process with driving licence,that was irritating and time consuming. 3. We were promised barbecue which was not available. The caretaker denied us campfire upright saying the logs are wet due to rain. Being rainy season shouldn't it be his responsibility to arrange logs accordingly . 4. Inspite of such a large power back up(inverter) the kitchen appliances are not connected to backup. With the constant voltage fluctuations we found it very hard to cook and even make coffee. There is no gas stove as backup for induction stove during power cut. 4. The caretaker was very lethargic and did not put any efforts in helping us. 5. There is a bathtub but the takes long time to fill and water heaters take time to hear water. We were 8 and had to wait for 45min for water to heatup everytime. Atleast provide an immersion rod that can quickly heat water.

It has spacious rooms and good location

It started with the check in process which is extremely cumbersome and more elaborate than an airline check in process. They expect the name, mobile, email Id, address and adhaar front and back to be updated for each guest. Along with that, you need to pay partial amount before they confirm the booking (which is okay since most properties request for partial payment before check in but this website has claimed that no prepayment was needed). Anyways, then on our way we requested them for lunch to which we were told that the cook is not there and there is nothing nearby for delivery. We ate outside before reaching the property and upon arrival, we were asked for 1 id again to validate (wonder what they achieved by harassing me to upload all the proofs on their web page. In hindsight, hope they don’t get misused!) and also make full payment before we get the key. They could have informed this instead of asking for partial payment and would have reduced the number of times I needed to do this! The bungalow is spacious, and for that I would say it’s nice. But the niceties end there. 1. Cooktop has been provided but frequent power outage ensures you can’t use it to even make tea. 2. Even if you manage to use the cooktop in between these power outage, there is only 1 big 10 litres vessel which is compatible for making tea, even if you need just one cup! Rest are non stock wok and flat pan. 3. Wet towels were provided since apparently they can afford only 12 towels and the previous guests left 5 hours earlier so they were washed but could not dry before we came (Wow! I have more towels at home!) 4. No hooks or hangers for hanging clothes. 5. There were only 2 glasses (glass) for a bungalow of 3 rooms. 6. There is a full plate, bowl and glass set which is copper coated which is nice but the plates are 14” in diameter so it’s super heavy! 7. There is no outside area as is claimed on the website. It is just a bungalow with no amenities outside.

Very good amenities like 5star hotels nice breakfast, very good caretaker. Calm area near to town. Location is best we enjoyed with family this home stay.
