Desa Hostel

You have to stay here if you’re going to Munduk! Definitely one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. The staff are some of the funniest and friendliest people ever, and they really make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. We joined the temple and waterfall tour through the hostel and had such a fun day. And you absolutely need to book the cooking class. Dedi takes you to his family home, where his wife teaches you how to cook the most delicious Balinese food. One of the highlights of our trip for sure. There’s a local warung right across the street, but the hostel also serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and we really enjoyed all the food there too. If you want to go into Munduk town, the staff can also drive you there. So don’t worry if you don’t ride a scooter. I don’t either, and I had no problems at all staying here :)

Nothing!! Everything was amazing.

Als je een plek in Munduk zoekt waar je je thuis voelt dan is het hier. De medewerkers laten je zo enorm thuis voelen. Ik kreeg een update van kamer, werd verzorgd met heerlijke gezonde drankjes toen ik me niet zo lekker voelde, en alles waar je hulp bij nodig hebt kan geregeld worden. Ook de cooking class is echt super tof om te doen. Ik zou hier zeker terugkeren.

Super chill location. Very friendly staff. They would do anything to make you happy. I had such a good time there. A lot of nice things to do.

Everything was perfect. The staff is very kind, and have a good sense of humour, rooms are big and comfortable. there is even free self-service laundry. Great value for money.

Incroyable séjour, vraiment le staff est adorable, très friendly, parle francais aussi un petit peu. Ils mettent une superbe ambiance dans l’auberge on se sent comme à la maison! Tout était parfait ! Petit déjeuner , lunch et dîner très bon et à prix correct! Ils organisent les activités pour vous, à pris corrects egalement. Je recommande vivement !

We loved our stay at Desa Hostel, the place is beautiful and you can rent a scooter at the hostel to get around. The staff is so friendly and Dedi was the best host ever! We only stayed 2 nights but almost wished we had stayed a bit longer. It’s one of the best places to see authentic Bali and meet the amazing local people. We stayed in a private room as a couple and the room was very big and well equipped. The hostel is owned by locals, so by staying there you also support the people.

There were a few little things but in the end we had such a wholesome experience that we did not mind any small details.
