Origer Apartments by Rentaroo

The space is clean and bright and well appointed, with everything you might need for a pleasant stay. This flat is on a central street close to many different bus and tram lines as well as the train station, so it is easy to go anywhere! At the end of the block is the Monoprix grocery store which is great (even if it looks like a clothing store from the front window). There's a great coffee shop and a nice restaurant on the small plaza with a pretty fountain across from Monoprix. The welcome letter was very helpful, and it was great to have both a key fob and a code to get in. Amy and the others we spoke to at Rentaroo were very helpful when we had issues - even during a bank holiday.

The biggest issue we had is that the hot water didn't work for most of our stay. Rentaroo and Booking.com compensated us for this with a one night refund, which we thought was fair (thank you!). But it bears reporting here, since it seemed that there was a disconnect between Rentaroo and the maintenance of the building. In any case, having no hot water was something we did not like! Also - when we arrived, the internet was not working. But again, it was the building or the neighborhood - and Rentaroo kept us informed until it was fixed. While the street is a quiet one way street, there is one bar right across the street from the flat so you can expect some noise at certain times in the evening. Closing the windows helps. The neighborhood is very "urban, downtown" so you can also expect activity on the street and some folks down on their luck hanging around - possibly asking for handouts. This was not a problem for us - the access to everything was well worth it! The bed is very very very firm. I prefer a softer mattress.

We requested stair free access for my husband. This request was ignored. The stairs to the elevator caused us significant difficulty. The host needs to be honest about accessibility.

The apparrments are perfectly located just steps from the railway station and surrounded by several convenient grocery stores. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, as I received the necessary entry codes directly through the apartment portal. The only minus is a noticeable sewage smell coming from the shower, but otherwise, it is a well-situated and easy-to-access spot.

The sewage smell in the shower was the only issue, but if that were fixed, this would be a perfect choice.

Wir sind mit dem PKW angereist. In der Straße war es nicht möglich, sein Gepäck auszuladen, da es dort keine Halteplätze gibt.

My only small niggle was the check in. I was emailed a code to enter the apartment. Check in was at 1500. My wife and I tried to enter at 1457 but the code did not work. I rang the staff (my call to them is logged at 1457 hence why I can be so sure about the time) who arrived at the conclusion that it was not 1500 yet so I waited a couple of minutes before the code worked and we gained entry. It would be helpful if the apartment owners made it absolutely clear that it is not possible to enter the property even a minute before their advertised check in time. My wife and I travel extensively and have never encountered such strict entry conditions to accommodation before

Spotlessly clean, comfortable, good and flexible lighting, heating we could control, and a radiator in the bathroom meant nice dry towels. Good instructions for access and equipment. Laundry facilities were good - we're travelling light so that matters - and any questions were answered quickly. The location was not in the smartest street but close to the station and great bus/tram options to rest of the city. The distinct like to check the bedside light as it didn't work and the rubbish room which had a horrible smell which lingered. I reported this and they responded charmingly. I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment and the owners who run a very professional operation.
