Location peaceful quiet lovely

Location was fab and great for our dog. Easy drive to York for the attractions

Lovely, clean and welcoming lodge. Good size and spacious. Christmas decorations were a lovely little touch for the time of year. A whistling quirky kettle was a lovely touch!

The shower felt a little too small and the shower screen door didn’t shut properly.

Very quiet and tranquil, dog friendly. The hosts were very informative. We will definitely be booking again

We didn't realise we couldn't leave the dog alone at all, so we didn't get to enjoy the golf course facility and Spa.

Location was lovely

In need of a deep clean. Main door was extremely difficult to use. Dog hairs all over the sofa. Not very clean. Cooking utensils need throwing away. Extractor fan didn’t work. But the worst was there is no door from the bathroom into the bedroom so no privacy at all when using the bathroom. We che led out the next day and went somewhere more suitable.

Great location, amazing lodge, fantastic views over the lake with the wildlife, lovely large decking area and secure for our little dog, a real bonus to be able to use the spa/pool & facilities, Robert the host was fantastic, warm,welcoming with nothing being too much trouble, would highly recommend and look forward to returning.
