GBAbsolutely unbelievable stay at the Roost! Immaculately clean especially for a dog friendly place. The hosts were very easy to contact and the facilities were brilliant. Super cosy with views like no other. Would love to live in the Roost permanently to be honest. Plenty to do around and very good location (thank you for such brilliant instructions for driving on arrival). It’s close to the Stag cottage property but we didn’t hear a peep or even see the people staying and is very very private still. Also the dressing gowns were a wonderful addition- THANK YOU!
The only two things missing were a dustpan and brush and a mat on the inside of the door for wet shoes. We struggled with bad weather so ended up using our own towels (from home) to clean the floor up and put our boots on when we got back inside.
GBGBIt’s very peaceful, the hot tub is a bonus the best was so comfy and it was lovely to look out of the big window on a morning with the birds we will be back thank you again
GBClever kitchen design to make the most of the small space. The cabin wide window next to the bed was lovely to look out from in the mornings.
Quite a few dirty glasses and dusty in places. Cigarette buts still lying around the outside from previous guests. We understand what the host is doing with the wild garden but as per a previous review this turned out to be a bit of a nuisance with having a dog as we let her have a wander around on arrival and she came in crawling with ticks, something to note in summer for other dog owners.

Less Cigarette butts around the hot tub, would have been nice, I picked up loads, outdoor table was sticky and needed a good clean, the info books had had sticky fluid spilt inside, needs revamping. The bathroom towel rail was in need of a good clean & the shower had insects coming from the ceiling. Not the fault of the roost but quite annoying was 20-30 Arab women with a male guard kept walking past down the track obsessed with us in a hot tub 😳 Would of loved the bird feeders not to have been empty, I went and brought bird food for them.

GBPrivate, near the town - lots of things to do! Very cosy and bed was super comfortable, liked sitting on the patio having dinner and listening to the birds.

GBWonderful property, very relaxing stay. Instructions for the barbecue would have been useful - because we have never used a gas barbecue we didn’t know how to turn it on and didn’t want to force it.
