Burnside Chalet on Reelig Estate

The remote location made it very peaceful, and seeing the red squirrel grabbing some peanuts whilst eating breakfast was a delight

Beautiful chalet with lots of windows that bring the outdoor space in.

Posto meraviglioso, immerso nella natura. Lo chalet un gioiellino. Siamo stati benone. È esattamente come in foto, forse anche meglio. La mattina ci svegliavamo con gli uccellini, le pecore e il rumore del ruscello. Viene sempre uno scoiattololino a fare visita.

Unica pecca, stamattina la signora delle pulizie è stata poco elastica quando alle 9.56 era già lì e ci ha detto che dovevamo andarcene e non ci ha praticamente concesso qualche minuto in più.

De locatie van het chalet is erg mooi, je loopt zo het bos van de Reelig Glen in en dat is prachtig. Erg rustige omgeving, er was vrijwel geen verkeer. Het huisje is eenvoudig maar comfortabel en de bedden lagen heel goed. De keuken was erg goed uitgerust, er ontbrak naar ons inzien niets en er lagen koffie- en theespullen klaar bij aankomst, fijn! Het is een beetje een "natuurhuisje" (zoals we dat in Nederland noemen).

Het huisje is gevoelig voor temperatuur: als het buiten koud is (zoals in de vroege ochtend) dan is het huisje zelf ook best wel koud en als het buiten warm is, dan is ook het huisje binnen erg warm. Het staat in de beschrijving, maar omdat zoveel locaties tegenwoordig wel wifi hebben: let op dat dit huisje geen wifi heeft (wel 4G).

We loved this cottage so much! It's so cosy, nestled in beautiful nature surroundings close to a river. The kitchen has everything we could need including a washing machine which was a real life saver. It even has a small area for hanging a few clothing items indoors when the weather is wet and cold outside. The cottage is warmed with heaters throughout and we had lovely hot water in the shower / bath combo. The beds are very comfortable. It felt like our home away from home and would definitely stay here again, thank you so much for the warm hospitality and wonderful accommodation.

There was a storm for one day of our stay that took out all electricity and our internet signal was also lost. We were not able to prepare any food or have heating but the host did send a warning message the day before as a heads up and it was sorted by the evening.

La tranquilidad

The house was extremely comfortable, clean, and quiet… And had everything we needed. It was a perfect homebase for lots of fun adventures in the Highlands.

Lovely quiet location, and the property was well looked after and very clean.

Wonderful location with stunning walks around the estate.

It would have been convenient to have a high chair available.
