Quiet, beautiful setting with friendly staff.

Felt like I had the lodge to myself!! I never encountered other travellers. My room (no.3,of 4) was unbelievably large and gave direct access to the swimming pool. Waking up surrounded by magnificent plants and trees in their lush garden to the sound of birds chirping was an out of world experience. The staff, namely Tony and Kesternie were discrete and endeavoured to attend to most if not all needs. The other staff also seemed quite preoccupied, be it cleaning the pool, tending to the garden, cooking tailored meals. The location is somewhat out of the city and without much commerce nearby. I did however stumbled upon an Ethiopian restaurant searching authentic cuisine at a fraction of the prices in Green Elephant and only a 6 mins walk away but take a torch with you if walking because the street lighting is extremely somber after 18h00. Excellent WiFi coverage and the shower; I wish I could have the same at home!! Breakfast was very good with a wide choice of egg based meals, accompanied by fruits and decent coffee. Bedding was sweet with a wonderfully warm duvet and fluffy towels were provided. Did i forget to mention the “honest bar”, however, in my opinion there could have been more choices of non alcoholic beverages. There were also a large number of seating spaces overlooking the lush garden to while away the time, spend an idle moment of mind fullness or catching up on some reading.Both drinks and snacks can be ordered and bought to your chosen place. Upon leaving don’t forget to leave a message on their blackboard!
