Fare Oaoa Haapiti

The location was incredible; literally set back only around 50 ft from the water. Each unit had its own private, 3/4 enclosed, shaded deck. They also provided kayaks to use free of charge. After staying there only one night, we went out of our way to stay there one more night while we were on Moorea. If you want to enjoy some tranquility in a true topical oasis, this is the place! It is a very small resort; no front desk or lobby. Rather, they come meet you and explain everything. There is a store right across the street which makes its own French Baguette right out back! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

It is hard to find anything not to like about this place. However, the water is only about 1 ft. deep (1/3 meter) for the first 100 ft. from shore. Also, the water is not bright blue; reason: this is a black sand beach. However, we just did a short drive a small, secluded beach and found fantasic snorkling. Bright white sand, beautiful blue water with a lot of coral to swim amongst; from 'pool' to 'pool' between the coral. This was a non-name beach located a few miles closer to the main ferry landing.

It was a little oasis on the beach amongst the palm trees. The staff and owner were very helpful and polite. It’s a great place to escape from the world. The spa pool was an added bonus to sit in and watch the sun go down. Our fare was well set up and had everything you might need. The deck is big enough to be well sheltered from the rain and wind with a nice lounge to park up in. There is a shop right across the road which was handy. Breakfast was provided and it was a good variety especially the fresh fruit. It was a picturesque spot that the pictures don’t fully do it justice.

We stayed here for 9 nights and we were unaware that they are unserviced. If our stay was 3-4 days this wouldn’t be an issue. It would have been lovely to have it serviced at least once during our 9 days. Some people have mentioned the road noise we found it fine. Yes there is some but that’s also the flip side of having a shop across the road.

Sehr gut eingerichteter Bungalow. Direkt am Strand. Geniale Sonnenuntergänge direkt vor der Tür. Parkplatz an der Unterkunft. Lecker zubereitetes Frühstück. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge der Insel. Super nettes Personal.

Nichts zu beanstanden.

un groupe de bungalows très bien agencés . De nombreux détails appréciables. Parking clos, eau filtrée, rinçage des pieds après la plage etc.

Gros inconvénient : la route principale passe juste à côté. Le bungalow n'étant pas ou très peu isolé, le niveau acoustique était insupportable de 6h à 22h. Pour couronner le tout , l'usage du marteau -piqueur dès le matin a mis fin à mon séjour.
