We had a lovely stay here, introducing our little boy to camping for the first time. It was a lovely and cosy pod for the 3 of us and it was amazing being right next to the lions. We loved toasting marshmallows by the fire pits & all the on site restaurants were lovely and delicious food. We had a great time.

"Nice, but wouldn’t go again "

Lovely place. I didn’t realise when I booked that the room is not en-suite. Which was fine except only two toilets for 12-14 pods. The pods are nice and very well kept, but very small for mote than 2 people. Family with little kids ok, but we were groups of adults and teenagers so not idea. Over all place is very nice, but probably not worth the cost.

Good experience, really enjoyed our stay. We had the shared bathroom and toilet, they were ok, could be cleaner. The room was good, good size. The safari was amazing, the food was great.

We stayed in a Pinewood pod, and while the size and amenities were as expected, we were particularly disappointed by the cleanliness. There were visible signs of damp and black mold on the wood and various areas of the pod. Whether these had been cleaned or not, they were still noticeable and concerning. The real issue, however, came when we were getting ready for bed. After putting our son to sleep, we prepared our own beds and were shocked by what we found. The quilt and pillow for the futon were dirty, with visible mud marks from shoes. While I tried to be open-minded about this, what we discovered next was unacceptable. When pulling back the sheets on the other single bed, we found a pair of little girl’s pajama trousers—clear evidence that the bed had been made up but not cleaned. The safari experience itself is a real treat, but Port Lympne is slipping when it comes to its overnight accommodations. Given the price paid for a single night, the lack of attention to cleanliness was both surprising and disappointing.

The stay is brilliant - waking up with the lions roaring and even going throughout the night (which did scare our 2yo!) was amazing. we would definitely upgrade to a lodge where you get a golf buggy next time as the zoo is difficult to get round on foot as it’s so hilly. Also the sofa bed which is the double bed (alongside 2 singles) is unbelievably uncomfortable - I’m talking the worst nights sleep on a rock hard surface! The pod is also tiny so it is a tight squeeze and the sofa bed once downtotally blocks the front door

Lovely stay with very friendly and polite staff - very clean and comfortable surroundings. Only caveat is that it’s not the most baby friendly if you are travelling alone with a baby & the Accomadation I had did not have a fridge.
